Army Painter RuneWars Hobby Weekend Live Blog – Friday
Meeting The Army Painter Guys!
We stop in with The Army Painter guys who are going to be guiding us through things this weekend.
You're going to be learning all about different techniques and so we thought it would be ace for you to know the fellows getting you stuck into the ways to paint quick armies.
Never tried an army painter paint, may have to pick one or two up to check them out.
The paints are alright. It’s the quickshades that are really good though!
I could seriously use some tips on how to paint faster. always looking to find a way to get through it quickly to get to the good stuff.
At website of army painter they got a lot of pdf’s about the army painter method. From start to finish.
Ooooo, speed paint tips. I can’t wait. Unfortunately I’ll be camping with the Scouts all weekend so I can’t follow the posts realtime, but Sunday evening I’ll be watching them all in marathon style
I’ve used their paints. Decent range of colors. Looks good on minis. Dropper bottle tops. Affordable prices. Really can’t complain too much. Oh and dunk shader is a huge time saver.
I find the dip tends to be a bit glossy for my liking. The dropper bottle quickshades are great for the same job though!
love the colours and dip made putting a nice looking army on the table soooo easy
I wish I could’ve gone to this bootcamp so many awesome things going on
this is section i want to see most i am good painterr but not fast.
I really should try a coloured primer at somepoint
interesting. Wish i could have been there, i need that sort of help/advice
Hmm, white company shirts (yay, not black) with no paint drops or smudges on them.
Not yet… 😀
I do like their primers as you can really get that base coat down quickly and have something to work up from.
Speed painting is definitely something I need some tips on.
Having a dedicated hobby space would be start
I couldn’t agree with you more. I have limited room for a dedicated hobbyzone.
I hoping to see these guys do some more tutorial style videos. I imagine that I’m doing similar techniques with my own stuff. But I’m hoping to learn some tips and tricks.
Would love to see a base coat vid. I love the army painter primers but sometimes (not all the time) it go’s down to heavy.
I like the Army Painter primers. They look good and have saved me lots of time on my ECW armies.
Jonas form APainter shows some good tutorials on youtube. Hope he shows it too during the boot camp.
Doing as little as possible. It makes sense that the choice of primer can effectively remove a step in the painting of miniatures.
nice to get to know some of the people behind army painter. i use a lot of their basing materials and some of their paints, even more so since they expanded the range, some greaot colors in there.
I have never used army painter paint, nor the shade. Really interested in using the shade but its too expensive to just try. Really like their paint brushes though, and the foliage.
Do the Army Painter spray primers work with Bones plastic mini’s?
I’m interested to know as well. I have lots of Bones but haven’t painted any yet. Loads more coming whenever Bones 3 ships!
I am painting like hell, as I’ll do nothing at work. Saeles eh 🙂
Great paint a little thick works great from a wet pallet. Best primer on the market. I also like the fact that they have color matched bottles as well.
I have yet to try their coloured sprays for priming. Looking forward to see the results
damn compromise is the lesson i should learn!
I like Matts plan do alittle as possible while staying out of others way. Words to live by LOL
