Love these little Early War era looking tanks.
I especially like how the tracks aren’t straight but look to be hanging, it is the little details that add to the model.

I Like the camouflage patterns on those Japanese tanks, though I understand that the machines were outmatched by Allied equipment. They performed well enough in the 1930’s fighting in Manchuria, apparently.

just looking at the weight’s it feels odd when the 30 ton sherman is basically
the heavy tank in the theartre

It was apart from the lack of a self sealing fuel tank and lack of pilot protection

This should make for some excellent games with vastly different forces

Love those Tankettes the commanders are not so much in them as almost wearing them. 🙂

Strange that they only had small tanks

The Japanese throughout the war had steel shortages and what ever they did have went into warship construction . The Japanese did build some heavy tanks in 1945 like the Ho Ni but as far as I know none of them saw active service as they were kept on the homeland to repel any Allied invasion that happened. A lot of the tankettes they produced were ideal for the terrain they fought in and were a match to the M3 Stuart in the early part of the war

Island hoping and campaigning in the jungle does not fit well with a tank force to be honest
It’s not surprising they had out of date tanks.
