We're back with John as he's done a bit of the red on these ships to give them a hint of colour.
There's still not 'too' much to look at just yet but we will have proper close-up images of the ships in the next video so don't worry!
Dragon red looks really cool. If your going to do symbols maybe try hieroglyphics?
Haha Warren and free handing the name of the ship on the model would add the perfect amount of realism and detail 🙂

Hell no! For such a centrepiece model, the pin-up art should be done freehand! Am I right Warren? 😉

some darker shading in the deepest recesses, sky blue lighting and maybe stencil some numbers on in black.
I think if your going classic scifi you can’t go ott or you’ll ruin the effect.

A lot will also depend on just how much time John has available until Warren needs the ship on the table. He might not manage to get all the greebly paintwork done in time.

Add some small grey squares towards the front where the ship has been repaired several times after Warren has “bumped” space stations while docking.

I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical of the light grey-white colour scheme, but once you start to pick out some panels and add detail it starts to look much better.

Funny note… Girlfriend’s aunt owned a tattoo shop across the street from a Chinese restaurant, so they’d order all the time and the owner would walk it over. One day, the restaurant owner walked over as someone dude was explaining his tattoos of Chinese characters and she burst out laughing. The dude got a bit offended and flustered, but she quickly left and came back with a menu and pointed at the line “Chicken Fried Rice”…
It is great to see Warren get in some hobby time.
