Introduction To The Armies: The German Afrika Korps

The conflicts of the Western Desert are a fascinating period of WWII. John and Charlie sit down to take us through the two Bolt Action forces facing off at this Boot Camp Weekend.

First, the German Afrika Korps head out to battle and we find out what sort of kit they used to claim victory in the desert.

I just love the new sculpts for the Germans. I’d wanna take them and just paint them to fit in with my regular Normandy Grenadiers.

I’ve got a wee 28mm DAK army I have played with over the years. Really interested to see the new stuff coming out from Warlord for both sides.

Not sure on the uniform details, but I wonder if you could paint up the Africa Corps plastics as normal heer units for playing mid war in Russia during the summer months (I say this as the current Warlord plastics for standard German infantry (ie not the Grenadiers) for this era still have the separate weapons and are a bit TOO fiddly to put together. Anyone know if it’s do-able?
