Is it the camera angle of is Lloyd shrinking?

It all started when Killian got in the Picture with him in the start. His been shrinking ever since. I think Killian has thrown a spell on Lloyd. On the last day he might turn in to a frog 🙂

Close combat is a very dangerous thing in Infinity…

Domaru, such a beast, two wounds and good armour can see him shine in a game this small.

I love close combat, but it seems quite rare in Infinity.

I’ve yet to experience close combat in Infinity but it reads rather brutal

Just what was the person who lost playing?

Also nice to see that even though Infinity is all about shooting you can still get up close and kill stuff.

Close combat sounds so BRUTAL! It would be cool to see the hype around the dice rolls during the clash, not just storytelling tho.

A duel!

I sort of imagine their lieutenants throwing down the white glove and going “I dare say, I challenge you to a duel!” and giggling like mad

CC is so risky and dangerous, but with the new specialists is also very lethal.

I love close combat. Could be fun to see if infinity would Work as a room to room combat game. Like a modern dungeon crawler.

You could do something like that. But if players know beforehand about the layout you will probably see a lot of flamethrowers and shotguns before people get into close combat. Oh, and don’t forget smoke grenades.

It might make for a very tense, very killy game. You’ll probably end up with a heap of bodies in one room.

All this sounds great.

How much of Infinity is melee versus ranged combat?

bucketknight

On average about 20% melee perhaps. But it really depends on the type of list you are building. Many lists favour long range guns. But there is a range of specialist troops that excel in close combat and are equipped for it. Even they often have short ranged weapons like shotguns or chain rifles.

CC must be fairly rare given that it got its own post.

Depending on the force you take. I have managed to have it happen five or six times a game. There are thing a player can do to help it happen like hugging cover, using smoke grenades, and camouflage.

I prefer ranged combat.
