Ariadna is always my nemesis. Friend of mine is my biggest enemy with them 😛
Gotta love Carlos!!!
The guy is a walking encyclopedia as far as Infinity is concerned.
Sorry I missed out on going to the Boot camp – the sheer entertainment of sitting having a few bevvies with Carlos and picking his brains would have been an amazing experience.
While I do like my Scottish factions, I will admit that when I play infinity (In the future) I really want to play something that is uber hi-tech, the things that really exemplify the futuristic feel of the game
So I’m still pretty new to the game… but where’s the best place (or what book) to read all of the history/background/fluff on this game? I think the look and feel of it is amazing.
I think it’s best to start at the Infinity website. You can get an overview of the factions. And all the unit entries in the store have a bit of background info.
If you’re really into the game you could buy the 3rd Edition rulebook. It comes with a separate book with just the background.
Campaign Paradiso is also a nice read, but that might be jumping in at the deep end.
You had me at werewolves
I cant wait to see them in action, I have tournament next week an my army is based on starter box +2dog soliders , tank hunter and snipers, kozac doctor.
I love the look of the Ariadna… the only Infinity models I own are the Caledonians… the Scots are so cool!
Thats my faction, the best models in my opinion
I like the USAriadna meaningful look. That was pretty funny.
I love the Ariadna backstory. I promise to get them to fight with my Nomads and PanO if I win Operation Icestorm!
This could be the faction for me, I like the “low tech” with with high punch idea.
the best models in my opinion
sounds like this might be the faction for me……..
Dat look though’, when he mentioned USAriadna.
They’re coming and they’re bringing some guns!
We don’t need a chasseur blister, we need a box full of them! 😛
Not struck on them yet, have to wait and see how they play. But i do like the background!
always liked the look of the ariadna, more down to earth military than the rest
Mmm, after this video, I like much more the SAA!
This would be another thing that’s put me off infinity in the past to be honest: Scotsmen in kilts. Cossacks. National/ethnic stereotypes in space.
Realise that approach is common to lots of sci-fi settings, not just infinity, and I keep an open mind.
It’s true, it’s somewhat like people from our Middle Ages got magically transported to the future, and got some guns…
True, but it’s more fun to paint and look at.
Highlanders rule! 😛
(With smoke greandes…) 😉
Probably my all around favourite faction although I would want to play the Caledonian Highlander Sectorial Army
Ariadna, my youngest daughters faction. She fell in love with the Antipodes and Dog-Warriors.
Sorry to say that they’re my least favourite faction, not to say that they’re bad or anything I just prefer the more exotic looking armour and stuff from the likes of the Nomads, Yu Jing or CA
I could see going with this faction. I’m an American, but my father’s from Ireland (Go Mayo!).
One of the coolest factions in Infinity.
Nice desert table, I want to see more of that!
