Bolt Action: Western Desert Boot Camp Live Blog - Saturday
In The Heat Of The Action
One of the great things about this particular theatre of war is that you’re being pulled into one which is very evocative. You will have seen Cass showing off some of the gaming going on earlier.
The change of theatre adds to this very cinematic feel and suddenly you’re not having to deal with dirt being thrown around but blasting sand and crumbling ruins.
SO. MUCH. YELLOW!
Matches the bootcamp food, or so I’ve heard!
Don’t smoke in the desert at night, if you dont want to give away your position.
Can’t believe how fast some folk can paint
@warhammergrimace Don’t panic, all the figures were painted before the bootcamp ?
I’ve never played a themed desert force. I’ve always wanted to hit never could get started.
those buildings up close look really cool. wish there would be more companys with that style for a better range and pricing :S
Some nice models eye view shots
Sand, small annoying itchy stuff that gets everywhere
neat
Ex-smoker but I love the guy smoking a tab. Is he a Warlord mini?
Yes he is, I got him last week at the Warlord open day as one of the the two free giveaway minis 🙂
I wish I could paint as quick as some of these folks.
So do I and I painted all the British in these pic’s before the boot camp?
those guys jost got perfect camouflage!
I love the guy calmly smoking while silohuetted on top of the building – what would @oriskany say!
I would say he’s on sentry duty … but I’d have him in a sandbag bunker or fortified tower or something. 😀
Smoking kills. Especially for the smocked smoking one at night.
A great looking table.
Wow, the troops look amazing! Really like this table. We keep talking about building a desert table but we are running out of room!
sweet to see painted models on bootcamp.
It’s all looking great.
Awesome shots
I do get tired of snow bases. Sand would be a welcome change.
It looks absolutely beautiful. I’m really amazed with thse tables.
I love North Africa for WWII. My primary FoW army is Italians in N. Africa. I can field a company of Bersaglieri and one of Carro/Tanks.
Great looking models
Looks great!
Cool terrain guys!
