Vikings Gone Wild sounds like it is right up my alley when it comes to board games. This one has you playing using some tried and tested deck-building and resource management with a bit of a strategy game twist.
You can either build up your little Viking world through trade and careful planning...OR GO RAIDING! I think I know which one I'd rather do.
