I use a spray stick myself but do advocate getting a box or pack of nitrile gloves, which since you’ll only need to wear 1 on the stick holding hand lasts a fair while and does mean you aren’t spraying yourself in the process

Even some of the old GW cans did suggest that one

Never used a paint stick, but I think I’ll give it a try when I get my starter set in.

great idea with the spray stick to use the paint itself to tack the models down.

Hadn’t even thought of this technique before but am going to use it from now on.

Don’t use a spray stick but that’s a cool trick to keep them stuck down. Also, he’s right that it’s a must to clean the nozzle, upside down sprays just propellent so it clears it.

That tip about keeping the can 20cm or less from the model is crucial. I had a friend ruin the paint job on a squad of Germans because he didn’t read the instructions for the color primer. He sprayed from too far away and the primer was mostly dry when it hit the models.

spray paints are really great. I use Dragon red on my Blood angel army and it has saved me a lot of hassle with the base coat.

I’ve seen someone use the spray as an adhesive. Crazy. I think I’ll stick with my bluetack though, since it is cheaper to use than paint (and reusable).

Some good tips there, including removing your watch before sticking your hand in a cloud of primer.

Best primer on the market. I like the spray stick never thought of that! I have always used blue tack!
