Games & Gears Features Gen Con Brushes & Anima Battleboards

We had a nice chat with our friends at Games & Gears and had a look at their new brush set- which was a must have for Gen Con. While looking around the booth, we noticed some really cool terrain boards, which they explained were their Anima Battleboards. These boards come in a set of 6, prepainted and scaled best for 28mm games. They are super durable too! An added benefit is knowing they have distributors in the states and out, so there's no horrendous shipping expense along the way.

I’ve got a set of their brushes, I find them well balanced. I do like those battle boards I can think of a few uses for them.

I feel that it is my duty to inform the Beasts of War community about G&G’s “great, new” battleboards and what type of company G&G really is. I am a backer of their kickstarter for their gaming boards, so I have paid aloot of attention to them over the last couple of years. Yes you read it correct years. G&G has consitatly lied to its backers about the quality of the boards (the first sets which are the only ones they has have sent out were NOT prepainted or even primed), G&G has also lied about where the boards were… Read more »

Also G&G has changed their description of the boards too. They are no longer calling them pre-painted, but instead saying that they have been based with 3 colors. What those colors are no one really knows. The fact that at Gen Con G&G is saying that they are pre-painted when they no longer say that to backers shows that either G&G is lieing or that they are to incompentent to get their stories strait.

I totaly agree. I will never buy a G&G Product again. The communication with the backers is terrible. Its allway about how great there products are and every critic is ignored. G&G don`t read their comments any more! Backers confirmed that the “prepainted” is ONE colour on a street, the rest is pure grey coloured plastic. The Backers who posted this, where call liers by G&G. Hey and its grreat, every news and update is about “the flood”, nobody want to hear it anymore. Its the universal excuises for everything 😉 To the quality of the brushes, they are normal… Read more »

I’m part of the same kickstarter and actually went in on those anima boards shown in the post. I’ve found them to be clear in their communications, there has been a large delay due to a serious flood at their Chinese product destroying the first run of the product. All the images & reviews I’ve seen of the first set of boards to be delivered were painted but did require some degree of extra work to make them pop. I’m expecting delivery of my boards soon (by the end of September) as they’ve said in their last communication. I’ve had… Read more »

I’ll have to agree with @paddycorkman that while delayed they been pretty clear in their communication my main complaint being that I did only go for one – I should have gotten a DzC one too
