Looking fantastic. Even before paint, I can already tell, this is something every geek would love having hanging in their game room.
yeah, it’s kind of a shame that it is obviously a ton of work and can’t be done as mass production(*).
But damn I do wish this style of 3D-ish map was for available for any of the existing (haha) fantasy worlds that are out there as it is an absolutely stunning piece of art.
(*) technically one could make a 3D scan of it and use that as a master mould, but it’s not the same as the original …
Absolutely bloody amazing. Excellent job Mel
Mel mate this is fantastic!!
Mountains turned out great, I’ll check out that filler technique on YouTube. With the border around it and the interconnection of rivers and roads I can really see why you wanted to do this, I’m so much looking forward to the end result
Can’t wait to see the next one!
Cheers
loving the mountains TT.
Drama, don’t you just love it when it comes into your life and turns it upside down.
For the name plate gaps as this is a sub layer would it have been easier to put a bit of PVA into them. Then push some off cut material into the gaps.
It is looking real good as it almost teases us on what it will look like when finished. 🙂
39 degrees. In an enclosed area. With clothing. That’s actually pretty bad. Property managers would be fielding complaints about the tenant who keeps forgetting to put his shorts back on if it were me.
This is a lot of fun to watch and it’s really looking cool, it’s great to watch someone so invested in doing a great job and enjoying it. The incessant fiddling also makes me say “yes, I understand perfectly” 🙂
looking great so far Mel 🙂
amazing work!
I’m two weeks late here but it looks like the Karpothian Mountains label is misspelled.
Karpothia vs Karpothain.
Looking great cant wait to see it done!
