Fantasy Flight Have Something Unique In Keyforge And Discover + WIN Two Keyforge Decks

FFG have made a big splash with the launch of their first two unique games; the collectable card game Keyforge and the exploration board game Discover.

Comment To Win Two Keyforge Decks

Keyforge was announced at GenCon, where it made quite a stir with its promise of providing players with completely unique decks with every purchase.

Discover takes this technology and applies it to a scenario based board game, providing players with their own combinations of missions and characters to make sure everyone gets a personal gaming experience.

Both games are really exciting in what they promise for the industry to come and we cannot wait to see what Fantasy Flight have planned for them in the future.

Sitting firmly on the fence with this game.
Not a big fan of card games, but the unique unchangeable deck concept is just so damn intriguing.
It could be the best thing since awesome was discovered.

Wow, an interesting concept to do a board game that will have a unique set when you buy it. Now your friends don’t have to say, “I am not going to buy the game because you have it”, as they will have their own version.

Looking forward to keyforge.

i hate deckbuiling games. if you bring the money you have a great deck. But this is awesome.

To be fair, that’s not much of an issue with FFGs Living Card Games as all the packs are fixed so there isn’t the same level of pay-to-win as most CCGs, but you still get the deckbuilding aspect.

But yeah, the likes of Magic: the Gathering definitely fall into that category!

What he did not mention about Discover is that there are 5 scenarios. Scenario 1-4 are co-op. Scenario 5 is competitive and based on what you did in 1-4. I am going to give Keyforge Starter Sets for Xmas presents to my gaming group. I am hoping we play when we get together during the upcoming holidays.

definitely going to try keyforge as buying packs always put me off collectable card games. Also the unique board game idea sounds interesting although it might lead to you playing one copy and really liking it and then not liking the next copy you play.

I love the idea of this game. buy one deck and never have to worry about having to fork out silly money for single card to make competitive decks.

Tried this game a few weeks ago at my FLGS, the local FFG demo guy had a couple of deck and i liked it a lot. I preordered the starter set and i’m eagerly waiting for it.

Keyforge is solving my biggest issue with MTG. I’m excited to see how it is embraced by the community. Seems to be a lot of interest though.

These sound like a lot of fun, and it’s quite unique. Maybe so unique I’m actually hesitant about just buying it. I’d need a demo of either to see the mechanics of the game and decide if I actually like it.

Looking forward to trying Keyforge as a casual game with family. No deckbuilding or collecting to do, just straight in with a deck. Discover might make for a good weekend adventure with friends.

I think it will be interesting to see how these no-two-experience-alike games do in the market. Good to see companies trying new things either way.
