Expanding the Gaming Universe of Elite Dangerous
Ryan is super excited to talk to John, Oliver and Mel from Spidermind Games about their Elite Dangerous adaptations. The RPG has been doing well on Kickstarter and beyond, but they’ve also made a living card game for attendees to check out.
I loved Elite, played it on an Acorn Electron when it came out, because we couldn’t afford the BBC Micro at the time.
I bought the revamped version when it came out a couple of years ago, its a great game but a time sink that I just can;t fit into daily life at the minute.
My commander is still in his asp explorer though, sitting on a planet about halfway to Colonia. One day I’ll get there.
These spin off games do look great as well.
The new card game looks good, will be interested in seeing this in depth. Great they have expanded the Elite Dangerous universe in this direction as I haven’t had the opportunity to play the RPG (pretty much for said reasons) but would love to try the card game.
Was pretty intrigued when I saw they were bringing out a card game in the ED universe, will have to check this out.
The cover of the RPG book looked interesting. Will have to look into ti.
Great great game
Definitely one ill be checking out tomorrow!!
loved the original PC game on the C64 will have to see a video of the game first.
The best version was still the very original version on the BBC Micro
Yeah a friend had a BBC played that before getting the c64 version they were both good.
Luckily I had a disc drive so the auto dock worked which it didn’t in the tape version. Still amazes me they fitted it into 32k. Every Easter I get the BBC and my analogue joysticks out and play it for 3 days
i
m always skeptical about card games, only because i like simplicity. this card game seems interesting but i
ll have to try it to know for sure.Interesting rpg, and card game.
I’m curious how an RPG can handle an infinite universue you are actually encouraged to vist lots of. There must be lots of narrative limits or you need a genious GM to comeup with new stuf all the time.
First iv heard of this, Iv racked up several hours on Elite Dangerous, would be nice to have a go at the rpg
One of the things I realised from Expo (oddly from talking to one of the lads on the GW stand) was I actually could join an RPG group now. Interesting times ahead.
Interesting looking games, their logo t-shirts are awesome!
THIS is something i’m really interested with!
a friend of mine as been playing for long so when he discovers that, is on danger. rpg player more than cards but likes him as well.
