So, we've talked about what's on the cards for next year. One of the big things to set your sights on though is the fact that Hawk Wargames are going to be ramping up the amount of Organised Play content they have set up.
This will include large tournaments and campaigns as well as smaller events at local stores and clubs too. So, keep an eye out!
Hope to attend one of these events some day..
Sadly, people are too focused on Warhammer and Infinity here. So, no tournaments for me. Wish I was UK based. The fan base is pretty good given all the guys here at the bootcamp =)
Take it as a challange! It’s up to you to spread the word, and make lots and lots of admirals out of your pals!
I’m in the same boat btw…
well I did that with Infinity years ago, I bought 2 starters and brought them to local wargaming club. Learned and demoed dozen games and then just left it in the club, so the guys can play. It stayed there eventually, when I dig into work with my teeth =))
But it with DF Commander it won’t be as easy. Most players are into WHFB, W40K or Infinity.
Rarely see guys playing FOW or other historics. Actually, I don’t see them last year =)
infinity scene is worth getting into while you get folks into dropfleet. two fantastic systems with beautiful miniatures.
I’ve had to giveaway my both Infinity armies. Both Aleph and Shasvastii. Had to focus on work that time. Starting all over is kinda intimidating =) Also, checked the club about a month ago twice and there are so many new faces and unfortunately most are into GW stuff.
That’s something I’m totally not sold on.

With Triples gone I hope to make the Expo next year.
Just need to get the kit.
I’m interested to see some tournaments, it will be interesting to see where Hawk go, both games look brilliant i just need some opponents locally so i can get stuck in.
I want to see a linked campaign that lets us fight it our over a star system over many many games, possibly earning resources for holding cities etc

The guy at the stand at Crisis was talking about a dutch tournament and my buddie and me where tempted for the first time in a long time to join in.
Need to paint my army first though
Well my plans is to start a new rpg campaign cyberpunk/space opera and i’ll use all of the ships i can get ready!^^

In the USA – Hawk will have events at Adepticon in March, Origins in June and GenCon in August.
I am looking forward to all 3 sets of events.
My club actually gets to help with the events at Origins, and will be running Learn to Play events at Adepticon.
Would be awesome to attend one of these at some point.
It sounds good, but I don’t really care for organized play. Way too much of it is just code for tournament play which I don’t enjoy at all.
Wouldn’t mind heading over to a UK event to meet the Hawks and get some organised games in.
I won’t be able to make it to any of these – barring a miracle…

are there plans to do some campaign that allows to battle over one or couple systems in the course of 5-10 missions tree depending on the outcomes of the previous played missions?
Never really been one for tourneys but would do a campaign
