Down In The Congo
We stop in at one of the tabletops which is running the game from Studio Tomahawk, CONGO.
This game sees your explorers heading out into the dark heart of Africa and running into Tribesmen and more.
The game seems to feature some nifty mechanics so it would be cool to know whether you folks have checked this one out in the past?
I want6ed to try this in Antwerp last year, but the demos were done only in French.
Interesting looking game. looks fun.
Congo is a good game
Is this anything to do with Michael Crichton’s Congo?
That was one cool book, especially with the remote sentry guns.
Great minis and game. I realy want to have it. But to this time I don’t have oportunity to buy starter forces and book for me. Maybe now I start adventure in Africa?
Interesting theme.
Blood diamond here we come.
Darkness Africa making its comeback
Love it, haha looks really cool! shame I cant make it!
any better shots of the statues ?
@apeman The one at the front – the anthropomorphic snake totem statue is from Monolith Designs:
http://www.monolithdesigns.co.uk/africa.htm The scale is stated as 25mm but I use them very happily with my 28mm Darkest Africa collection. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you order something as this is a part time concern but it is well worth it.
Interesting looking game!
Nice mini’s
Mini look really nice.
Great use of plastic aquarium terrain!
fun looking board
An interesting looking game and a fun looking board too.
Didn’t get to play this I am afraid but was intrigued by it.
Great to see a different theme for a game.
Nice idea, looks well brought to life.
I hear that’s way down there, where they love umbongo.
Dammit! Now I can’t get “Umbongo, Umbongo, they drink it in the Congo” out of my head! Come to think about it……is that PC?
Not my scene, but I’d give it a go if someone asked 🙂
Haven’t seen this setting explored before–cool.
I think people forget there are jungles in africa. Its not just desert.
No my cup of tea. Sci-fi or fantasy, but not colonial imperialism.
