I’m sure Warren will be helping Dave lubricate his vocal cords tonight.

Dave’s doing a great job. Got to love ramming speed.

so some deliberate scenario scripting by bribing players with booty 😛

Rulebook says if you ram, the ship does NOT roll on Catastrophic Damage table (only the target ship, if it dies). Who is right in this case, Dave or the book?

we trust the rules as writen, as did Dave when we pulled him up on a rule or two. he is monumentally tired from the kickstarter and traveling and doing the bootcamp

Capturing sectors/clusters and space stations seem to have just enough rules to make them interesting while not taking the focus away from the capital ship part of the game.

I want a ramming caught on video 🙂

Looking forward to pulling off a ram at some point.

I love how objective based this game is. Getting troops on the ground really gives it that something extra

You said it 🙂
Ramming is just like that final act of defiance, taking as many of the enemy with you as you can. Heroic and probably quite funny too if you manage to pull it off in the right way – I am thinking about cascading hull explosions and so forth.
I wonder would Warren’s behemoth space station be vulnerable to ramming?

The more of this I watch, the more I want to rewatch Babylon 5 right now.

Poor Dave. Working weekend. At least it is quieter than a full convention. That should save his voice some.

So many nice mechanics touches in this game. And kudos to Hawk for listening to folks opinions and adding ramming in.

I like the idea of orbital bombardment and tying it all in to the ground game.

I hope they keep the orbital bombardment to tactical?

The image of dropping off tanks to fight in side of an space station makes me giggle with excitement.
