I need to play this at some point.
You guys need to update the description on this video, it is Fallout the board game by Fantasy Flight Games (like Justin said) not by Modiphius.
Seconded.
Thirded
Fourth! It’s FFGs Boardgame. the other is a miniatures game
Fifthed! ?
Seventhed! Ah no! Sixthed! Arrggh! Where fall my holy grenade of Antioch?!!
Eighthed!
I really want to get into playing this, my wallet just can’t handle it at the moment!
I had a chance to play a friends copy of Fallout recently. It’s quite fun but not necessarily the strongest FFG game out there. An interesting mix of partial co-op but overall versus gameplay. In our game session we found we kind of worked together to survive the early encounters and exploration before each person headed on different paths of their own once they were more experienced and better equipped and then rushed for a main objective. It does totally feel like a Fallout game, love the S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats and how they affect everything you do, and the equipment and… Read more »
I finally managed to pick up a copy a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it – the mix of hex-ploration and questing is a lot of fun, although it reminds me a lot of Firefly (before the PVP expansion) where there isnt much you can do to interfere with the progress of the other players except beat them to the quest criteria first.
However, this game will be fairly easy to expand upon and I look forward to some new side quests, assets and hex tiles in the future.
Sold. I just need to wait till my next board game buying session!
Fallout, my favorite game series (I’m talking 1&2 here, though obviously 3+ are great and the new Vault looks good ?).
Really want to play this. Big fallout fan. An hour sounds like a long intro though…
Played it a few times, good game 🙂
Interesting game.
We didnt get to play this one. Ive been wanting to give it a go for a while, glad youve got this one up as it give me more of an idea of what is involved.
I have seen this game on the table. Looks amazing
Will have to give this one a try at my local games cafe in Brisbane, Conexio.
Those guys werent the most enthusastic people ever but it does look interesting
Enjoyable game but gets stale quickly. Have played it three times. Needs more location cards as you quickly get to know the locations and what actions to take.
One of the demos I’m hoping to get later.
If only Asmodee Germany would finally import that sucker… :S
I preordered the starter set…I’m really anxious to get it. I love the whole vibe of this setting
Game gives me a good feel in comparing with the PC game. It is a bit complex with the depth of rules but I enjoy it. I hope they expand the scenarios.
The quality of the components looks great but when I see so many little cards and tokens in play it puts me of from learning the game I Would need to try it with an experienced player how could talk me through it all.
This and the “New Dawn” and “Doom” games are on my list…so much good stuff…and not enough time and money…arghhhh!!!
Worth seeing a playthrough sometime.
looks good is a play through video coming out.
I have this game and its just sitting here waiting for my group to finish kingdom death 🙁
“Does this feel like Fallout?” Do Fallout 3&4 feel like 1&2? Does fallout have a feeling anymore or just a setting?
The board tiles through me off. Comments clarified it, thanks.
