Checking Out The Brécourt Manor Participation Game
We get a chance to chat with Rich and Chris about one of the smaller participation games here which features the assault on Brécourt Manor. This is an infantry heavy fight which is a little bit different to your standard engagements in Flames Of War.
It’s really good to see a game which brings to life the ‘spirit’ of building scenarios and because it has a score attached to it it means people are vying to keep their men alive rather than throwing them into the grinder! Do you reckon you could do better than -1 or -4?
Those positions look brutal to assault!
Well setup board to be sure.
Well done.
Cool. Playing with more infantry looks fun.
Is 4th edition a more infantry friendly rule set?
Very nice. May I suggest the scenario rules, set-up and suchlike are published, perhaps on the battlefront webseite, so that we, the players, can try to do this at home? That would be a nice treat, especially for those with the new starter box with so many US paratroopers in it.
Do love that idea to use 3 man team for such combat. Would loe to know more on how they adapted the rules. any chance they can talk about it more?
That looks like a good scenario to demo at the my FLGS. I wonder if the scenario specifics are posted on the Battlefront website?
It feels like too small a scenario given the scale of BoW. If you do a Google search lots of people have written scenarios for various rule systems for it
sounds a challenge nice to see just infantry for a change
Looks very nice, 39! and a -1!
I would play this for sure, well done 🙂
Looks like a fun scenario!
Looks like an interesting scenario to play out.
Sounds like an interesting mission to try again and again
I love the idea that infantrymen can have such impact in a game so based around big tanks!
FoW is a very flexible system and a rather subtle one. It does a fine job representing infantry firefights and in close terrain infantry can be very dangerous to armor. The Sneaking Up On Tanks rule on page 76 can be very devastating when used in conjunction with the “Hit Top Or Side Armor” rule on page 77. Even Tigers and Panthers get nervous when fighting in forests and towns against infantry toting bazookas and PIATs.
That looks like a lot of fun to play. Great looking table also
what’s the score George Doors.
What a great scenario, the board looks amazing!

Yes! Prizes are good! Thanks Ben!
Probably not with the way I roll.
