Chaosium Gets back into Board Games
Ben encounters David from Chaosium to talk about their foray back into the world of board games. In addition to the cute art they have on display with Khan of Khans they also have a stand of RPG books dedicated to Glorantha and Call of Cthulhu.
really like the idea of the starter/intro books
I hope Borderland,Big Rubble and Griffin Mountain etc and of course not forgetting Apple Lane are going to be released for the new RQ version
great stuff Ben. fantastic interview. great idea of lay before learn rules.
Love Lovecraft
Ahh Call of Cthulhu, roleplaying heaven
Really like the current RPG version. Another well done RPG.
that stuff looks great
Chaosium really do produce quality stuff.
The name Chaosium put as big a smile on my face as the name Ian Livingstone. They were such a big part of my misspent youth!
Must have the CoC beginner’s game!
ahh rune quest, the original indie fantasy RPG. the cthulhu book look beautiful, would love to get my hands on them at some stage
Well, now im truly on danger for my cash, beeing an oldschool fashioned player and beeing RUNEQUEST my first ever rpg game bought on my birthday and now a reprint with such quality and so, i need to get one copy, mainly phisical rather than pdf, but if theres no option for translation from EDGE or NOSOLOROL editors will get it as well, so hope somehone get his licens for Spanish market.
Thank god there is BOW to show us these events 🙂
I love the idea of Alone Against the Flames. More games need to teach you how to play them during play. I keep buying games I dont play because I don’t want to read and then teach the rules and get it all wrong and spend the game just re-reading rules. Instant start is a great idea.
