We're now chatting with Nate about why he went for the Scourge as his fleet of choice. I think you can guess the main reason and that's because they are rather pretty!

Scourge are just spreading peace and happiness throughout the universe. Well thats my friends version of the events.
I do not dislike their looks, but I have to read up on their background to understand what they actually are.

I can’t seem to convince my buddies to split a starter set, so I’m afraid I’ll need to play scourge too. Obviously that means I need to get a matching force in dropzone….
I’m not sure if I would play the scourge (besides what would be in a 2 player starter), but their models are super cool. Their sculpts give them an even more sinister and organic look than their dropzone counterparts.
The scourge are easily the best faction in game. Although that might be a bit of a bias point of view.

Nothing like some parasitic conquerors FTW… The ships look great… I kind of want to see something between the Battleships (Dragon and Daemon) and the cruisers… some sort of blend of the two styles… but alas.. they do look creepy either way! Plus… Cloaks and Stealth! C’mon!!! That’s awesome!
I am on the fence with scourge but they probably have the better looking ships in my opinion. Built 4 frigates and 1 heavy cruiser so far and really liking their look
As a former squid (US Navy), I hole heartedly support the Scourge now and forever being called squid heads.
These look better as starships in my opinion. Not sure what to make of them in Dropzone but in Dropfleet, I imagine those tendrils moving like squid or octopi swimming through space.

They remind me of the mechanical squid bugs from The Matrix films!…Kinda cool, but not the fleet I would choose. I dont think one actually can see the scale of the model on these ships…I would rather have some of the more ‘normal’ looking spaceships which you better can recognize as big spaceships…
I think of the factions in this universe, the Scourge would be my choice. I like their general play style, and the ships would be some of the most interesting to paint up.
Scourge do look awesome, my general rule when coming into a game, is pick the faction that majority of people don’t like to play. Nothing better then beating your opponents with the ‘misfits’.
They do look like alien predators prowling through space. The ships are more unique than their ground assets.
