Flames Of War D-Day Boot Camp: Sunday
Calling A Close To The Flames Of War D-Day Boot Camp
That’s it for the Flames of War D-Day Boot Camp. It has been a fantastic weekend of building, painting, and, of course, gaming.
Thanks to everyone who came and took part, and to everyone who has been following our progress on the Live Blog too.
As we wrap up, it is important we take a moment to look back on the history of Normandy and what happened in a time where the world lost track of its sanity.

Great event…thanks for all the work. I learned a lot from this
Lovely song.
A fun Journey to watch
Looks like it was a great event and a huge success. Congrats all and thanks. It was fun to see the updates and learn more about Flames of War. I think I just might need a new game in my future . . . my girlfriend is going to kill me. Or at least ban me from the internet.
Thank you to participate in this way.
Fantastic way of introducing the new edition for Late War. Really gets me interested in starting an army up.
Great weekend, if only I could have been there. Love the song, a fitting reminder of what we owe to those that served, and of course those that serve or served before or since.
Another amazing job. Well done everyone! 😀
Well done guys, great weekend, and a very fitting sign-off
Looks like a great weekend. The re-enactment guys brought a nice flavour to the coverage, reminding everyone of the reality of events 75 years ago. Been reading about the days after the D-day landings, and how hard both sides fault. There was so much more than just the beach landings and glad you’ve themed the weekend “inland” so to speak.
Great event, really enjoyed keeping up the boot camp from afar. Shame I wasn’t there.
awesome event!
Can you guys do this every weekend? I’m so excited for the future of FOW. Battlefront has stepped up…thanks
Great weekend to watch.Lovely way to end the coverage.
Fantastic way to finish the weekend. A very good way to end with a song about D day and a fitting reminder of what happened 75years ago
This was a lot of fun watching from afar. It was great to see you all having an amazing time on amazing tables, especially the night games! Meet nice touch. But also, I learned lot about the game, which I didn’t expect so thanks for that!
If one could not visit Normandy this anniversary. A weekend of Flames of War is the second best option.
It’s been a good weekend guys. Thank you all.
Great weekend. Great gameplay and a great tribute for the 75th anniversary.
Great effort guys and wonderful to see youngsters getting involved
It was fun living vicariously through you all!
Been a great weekend, lots of great videos & photos on the blogs
That song… I’m not crying, you’re crying.
To all of the men who fell that day, and to all of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who survived, thank you. (Personal note: My grandfather (dad’s dad) was in the 4th Infantry Division and made the landing on D-Day at Utah Beach. If you wish to let me know where your relatives were that day. My mother’s dad was in the Army Air Corp in the European theatre, but I don’t know exactly where, his brother was a waist gunner on a B-17.)
To the BoW team great event as usual guys.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Fantastic coverage for those who could not attend. Thank you so much!
It was great fun watching all these videos over the weekend. Thanks to the editors and cameramen, great work!
