Players have their game faces on as they try to take out the other mechs in an old school game of Battletech. It's great to see games that still have a loyal fan base despite the sea of shinies here at the con.
I really wish this game had better minis maybe scale it up to accommodate its potential.

Battletech is not my bag
Battletech does have some very nice minis, but they tend to be the newer designs (both in terms of when those models were produced and when those mechs were designed in the lore). This means themail older mechs – typically what you will find in classic battletech – are old in both senses. Barring the unseen / resend / newseen stuff, I don’t believe CGL and IWM have much motivation to redesign the mechs of 3025..
Damn it is have had this phone two weeks and already the autocorrect and dictionary are conspiring against me!
I don’t think the game needs to be scaled up but I do think new updated minis would be a good thing. I dearly love the Battletech universe but would have a hard time getting back into it with how bad the minis look compared to modern minis. Also I don’t have a 3D printer and the time to print out minis using the 3D models from Mechwarrior Online.
I have always dug battletech! I wonder when it’ll be updated, unless it has and I’m that behind.

How does the terrain work when half of the hex is on one elevation, while the other half is on another?
Damm good! Battletech was my very first miniature board game bought out of family ones like, oca, monopoly or risk.
Even nowadays I own a box with 2 of each of plastic released mechas, atlas, rifleman, warhammer…
Fun game but horrible (at least pre-Clan Invasion) minis.
So that is Battletech. I’ve heard about it but it has never peaked my interest enough to get into it.

Always glad to see Battletech. The first miniatures game I played as a kid!
My hubby and I play Battle tech every once in a while. We need to more often! Classic.
