Wow that terrain looks great! The level of detail is incredible… Do they make steampunk or scyfi stuff?

That terrain is amazing (and you need to tell your camera guy to move the camera to look at what is being talked about please!)

Beautiful designs. Just be sure to understand the limitations and peculiarities of your printer, or check prices if you plan to have a commercial print vendor make your pieces.

I have only one question: What would be the best choice for a 3D printer for a non-professional user. Would any printer “do”? If I went to a store similar to Radio Shack in the US or something alike, what should I tell him I want?

IMHO and from my experience. If you want a printer that takes the smallest amount of tinkering, has a large support community and is constantly getting updates that get bolt on yourself over time, just get an Original Prusa 3D MK3 and call it a day. There are many other options but IMHO the Original Prusa 3D MK3 is your best bang for the buck with the least amount of pain. nice, I think this is the way things are going. I’m sure there will still be some terrain people, but I think we’ll be seeing more and more of this type of thing. D&D..where after an adventure a file gets sent to some company and boom..your character now gets mailed to you.. and a few links for the next campaign scenery files.

They have tons of great terrain files for legion/starwars as well.

I want a 3D printer because reasons… mostly for the toy factor and to print terrain with. Plus with certain types of terrain, Middle Eastern buildings for example, you can print in 28mm scale for games like Saga and Bolt Action and then reduce the file size for Flames of War. One file different sizes!

Matt’s team are ridiculously productive – I keep backing them despite the fact I’m not printing as fast as they’re designing 😀 This KS looks like one of their best yet – and if it is run the way their other ones have been, there will be the chance to purchase add ons from their previous Kickstarters
