that would be a lot of dice chukkin’ to get through a turn. 28mm epic
Yeah, we have to bring a lot of dice and wound counters for it.
That table is huge!
that one is 6 by 12. At Gen Con it will be on a 6×16 that has water features and crags. Rusty is making it, but could not attend Adepticon.
My husband and I might have enough to play a game that big, but they’re mostly still not assembled onto trays. (Half Mantic, half Bones and lots of other types of minis) Someday…
That’s the best thing about Kings of War- you can feel free to use whatever you’d like! 🙂
I was wondering if Anyone was playing Kings anymore.
We had a bunch playing, and in the tourney this year it grew from 22 to 62 players. The tourney scene is going well, and still growing here in the states. Think Lone wolf will be 90+?
But how long did it take to play. Or to set up!
I think they played over the course of 10 hours or so. I can tell you that the guys that built and painted the minis got it done in 3 months! He handled the minis and his wife did all the basing. 🙂
That’s dedication. I wonder if they also had full time jobs? I’d love to be able to throw myself in to a large project like that without having to worry about silly tings like leaving the house or money.
We played three sessions, and all were over in 5 hours. Winners were easy to determine (Abyssals took 1 and Trident Realms/Nature took 2). My son and I played it out and we finished completely in almost 6 hours. But each game goes like 9-10 turns. My Son, my wife and I painted everything in three months (My wife does the bases with My son and I painting all of the figs (lots done army painter style, taking more time on the big stuff, characters and fun things like the tentacles). And yes, all three of us have jobs, my… Read more »
That’s amazing work. I really don’t know how you find the time. I get maybe 2 hours painting in after work maybe 3 evenings a week, and most of my weekends and yet I don’t think I could get that much done. I’m trying my best to get faster though. In a few years perhaps I can enslave the toddler sweatshop style if he has an interest and is any good.
Remind me of warhammer 40k apocalypse. so epic
Respect the tentacles,
wow!!! huge game!!
I think that was the original aim of the game – to make large mass fantasy battles possible in a reasonable time. Nice to see it’s so popular in America.
wow some big units on the move.
Great looking armies, love the “Kraken”!
Massive collection of fantasy armies.
this is my kind of game.. huge armies
