lol worst german half tracks ive ever seen lol
they did indeed capture halftracks on both sides from the enemy and paint them in their colour shemes. the tanks are the funny part 😉
The tanks look nothing like they are supposed too. Got a real kick out that.
lol!
I remember watching this film when I was young.
Must be all captured equipment from the allies the germans used.
Gotta love these old war movies ! exept the vehicles are all wrong 🙂
I love it when a plan comes together.
George Peppard for the win!
are those amercian tanks or russians? if russians that would mostlikly be from the agyptians right?
The large tanks were American M 48 Pattons , the smaller tank the guy slid under was an American Walker Bulldog , I forget the M number . Seems parts of the movie were shot in Spain so probably vehicles from the Spanish Armed forces ( they also supplied tanks for the movie Patton ) Always wanted to kit bash a US M3 Half Track to look like these “German ” vehicles . I wonder if the same movie company made the film , Raid On Rommel , they seem to use all the same vehicles
Great movie, though I prefer Ice Cold in Alex.
Oscar nominated special effects – As used later by Red Dwarf!
Class movie!
This was on Tv this afternoon, I watched it again despite knowing better! lol! Funny how something this bad can pull you away from valuable hobby time!
Nice through back to the past.
did they use the bulldog tank on africa?? is that an m41? john I need some answers!!
This one is on the list to watch tonight. Beak out the popcorn
as cheesy as it is, I have it on disc 🙂
did’nt know Rommel had Patton tanks lol
This is what happens when you don’t have army lists!
Good lord!
Bet Jim is twitching over this! Hahaha
Nah, this movie is a classic. It somehow rises above its cheesy flaws. Historically it is beyond absurd, but that’s not the point.
Well… I’m not sure of all I just viewed… but darn it was awesome! That tank slide stunt looked absolutely dangerous, but was also a showcase of old school film making, there’s real danger there! That is what’s missing from the modern films in scores. Funny that, more risk more reward!
But can George Peppard hit anything? Least he can make his own tank
Nooo more US German tank’s.
My favorite irony in this vein is the movie Patton, where “Patton” fights German M48 tanks named … Patton. 😀
I don’t think I need to watch the movie after how much the trailer showed. Plus the movie looks like it has Limburger cheese levels of funk.
I wonder if he loves it when a plan comes together?
Lol
