Kromlech Release Their Sons Of Thor Prime Range
February 16, 2021 by brennon
Kromlech has now released their new line of Sons Of Thor Prime bodies, heads, weapons and accessories. If you're looking to dive in and pick up some wild warriors from the frozen North for your Sci-Fi games then take a peek at these options!

The first of the options we're going to be looking at are the heads above which can be used with your standard 28mm collection from Games Workshop or obviously as part of a kit by Kromlech. They give you a nice range of Sci-Fi Viking options for you to play around with. Plenty of beards, scars and bared fangs are on offer.
Moving further down the body, the Sons Of Thor also have these Prime Bodies. This gives you an interesting spin on the classic Space Marine look but with a little more ostentatiousness!

The detail on the chest plates is cool and I like the additional work that has gone into making the armoured legs pop too. There are also plenty of little details on these bitz including fur, bone relics, runes, talismans and more.
Adding to this, you also have the Veteran Shoulder Pads which match really nicely with the armour. Again, I like all of the iconography and the fur that sits around the base of some of the pads as well.

You can also arm your Sons Of Thor with some seriously brutal looking weapons which have been drawn from the vaults. These are Runic Axes which can be clasped in the right or left hand of your miniatures.

I do like these being used alongside your veterans in a Space Wolves force but I could also see them gifted to the leaders of some units too. It's neat that they have gone with a selection of different styles here too which makes each weapon feel like a unique relic.
Last but not least, we also have this set of upgrades which can be lashed to the belts of your Sons Of Thor. Who wouldn't want an ancient horn to sound when you storm into battle?

I also like that one of the Sons Of Thor is so attached to his ale that he has brought it with him into battle. When your boltgun runs out of ammo and you've lost your axe in the head of a Carnifex you an beat your enemies to death with a flagon of ale instead!
Are you going to be snapping up these new bitz from Kromlech?

Beerarm! BEER! ARM!
Best arm that there is.
And these are nice not Space Wolves.
Sadly they are also not Orc
Looking forward to the orcs pint arm reaction. Please someone make it so!
Those are some nice unofficial Space Wolves.
Great work on the figures is it just me or do the all look like Justin? Chapter Justin? Ooh spooky.
Does anyone know if Kromlech can ship to the UK now that Brexit has stuffed trade up like a Christmas turkey?
On their website it says they are…”While the DPD courier delivery option is currently unavailable for the United Kingdom customers, we are dispatching all of the orders to the UK normally and without a delay via Polish Post. You will find our latest worldwide shipping updates here.”
Paint job ‘cheapens’ them a little bit, but I think that as far as sculpts go, these are nicer than the authentic GW Space Wolves.
It does make me wonder, though, why GW is bothering to name everything a Scarbranded Soulblighted Stardrake when people are still releasing “Not-Warhammer” all the time.
The upgrades pack is a nice touch and I can see me using it for other factions too.
