The Red Hood Joins The Batman Crew From Knight Models
January 20, 2015 by brennon
As well as the release of Loki there's also been some additional releases for The Batman Miniatures Game thanks to Knight Models. Joining the cast are the Red Hood which we hadn't seen before alongside the two models that we previewed here, Arrow and Swamp Thing...
First up we start with Red Hood, and no, not the Joker version. This is the Jason Todd version of Red Hood who looks like he's borrowed a few ideas from Deadpool and Deathstroke in his costume choice. I certainly like the get up however and if you check out some of the artwork for him online he's quite the cool looking addition to the DC Universe.
As well as Red Hood we have Arrow (shown above with his alternative head) and Swamp Thing who is looking increasingly huge whenever you see him! Both are great looking sculpts and even though I prefer the original Green Arrow they did for the game it's good to see the TV version popping up. I'd imagine Flash isn't far behind.
Which will you be picking up?

I don’t know this character, but the red hood looks great ! Nice pose.
Also the swamp think is nice !
Jason Todd was the second Robin (after Dick Grayson). He didn’t prove to be particular popular so DC ran a storyline in which readers could ring in and vote whether he lived or died. The vote went against him and he was killed. All those X-Factor hopefuls are lucky they only get kicked off the show lol. He then got brought back around a decade ago via a plot device it isn’t worth going into. The Red Hood was the Joker before he was Joker, (possibly). Now Jason Todd is the Red Hood.
It’s usually bad sign when they let fans vote. It means that writers have no idea what to do with character.
The idea of running a poll was conceived of separately from killing off Jason Todd. The theory was it might get fans more engaged (plus I’m sure DC would have made some money off the calls). Jason Todd had gone down like a lead balloon as Dick Grayson’s replacement to the extent editorial was already thinking of removing him from the strip. The two ideas had a happy convergence and Todd was up for the chop.
Oh thanks for the input, glad to know more about him 🙂
Red hood looks strange anatomic-wise….
Too long legs imho
I for one am excited to see Jason (Red Hood) come to the game I think it will be interesting to see if he is a free agent for batman or not.
The Swamp Thing looks really cool. I am not a fan of Arrow thou. Do not know why I just do not like the sculpt.
All I can think of when looking at the Red hood mini is:
Do a little dance, make a little love
Get down tonight.
I imagine him dancing around singing it in his head
Been waiting for Red Hood, Red Hood and the Outlaws is one of my favourite of the new 52 launch of DC comics, works with Trucker Cap Arsenal and the lovely Starfire (so hopefully she will not be too distant in the future). Although for a good 150 rep game the Arkham Origins Deathstroke wins for my favourite sculpt.
If you have the opportunity, you really should check out the “Under the Red Hood” film from the DC Animated Original Movies brand. – They retell major comic arcs, as well, proper animated movies.
The ending scene is just, well, amazing.
