Drive Through Gotham In Knight Models’ Batmobile
October 29, 2015 by dracs
Knight Models have another iconic piece joining their new range of Knight Models Legends; none other than the Caped Crusader's very own wheels. It's the Batmobile!
The Batmobile has long been part of Batman's character, from its humble beginnings as a red convertible, through to the massive tank-like tumbler from the Nolan movies. This model follows the design of the Arkham Knight video game, which was definitely influenced by the Nolan version.
While this model looks absolutely fantastic, I have to admit that I personally am not much of a fan of the tank styled Batmobiles, much preferring the more classic look from Burton movies. In fact, I would say my favourite design is the one that showed up in the Arkham Asylum game.
Whatever iteration is your favourite, you cannot deny that Knight Models have done a fantastic job at capturing this iconic piece of Batman lore. Its inclusion in the miniatures game could certainly prove interesting, whether or not rules for it will be provided.
Which Batmobile is your favourite?

Have to agree about the tank style batmobiles, The arkham asylum one was amazing, wish that was the default one in Arkham Knight…
That said that mini would looks pretty sweet in infinity or warpath…
A lot of common sense being spoken here.
The tankmobile is allright but i would rather have the Batmobile from the Animated Series.
…original tv series Batmobile! Still got one.
didn’t they only make six of them for the series must have cost you a bit 😉
looks good but made on a budget based on a digger or something I doubt the recession is hitting Gotham city.
More and more of this range seems to be going the Video game source route rather than film/tv/graphic novel. #SorryNotMyBatman
Well that’s not surprising, after all their first miniatures were modelled in the likeness of the Arkham City game, the comic/movie minis are more additions i would say.
I think most miniatures of the range have the look of one of the Arkham games.
They probably have access to 3d models created for the game each of the batman sculpts for example are skins available in the game…
Would explain the quick turn around on minis in the range and would be preapproved by dc clearing a lot of roadblocks of getting approval from the license holders.
There are comic book models coming out as well, but the games are being mined heavily while they are new and there is a buzz to capitalise upon. There are still comic book based models coming out like the wonderland gang and new talia al ghil.
As for this bat tank, im honestly not keen on it. I too would have preferred the Arkham Asylum version, or the Nolan Tumbler, or the animated series…. This thing is just too angular for me.
I think its only white rabbit who hasnt appeared in the game, the mad hatter sculpt looks very much like the one in Arkham City…
I think this game was based off the arkham video games. But to be honest I’m not a fan of bringing vehicles into this but I will give it a go. Maybe they will have specific scenarios for it
This is surely good looking model but I would had liked one from 1989 movie more.
To phrase Michael Jackson :
“Who´s Bat ?” dum dum dum di dum
I really want it but I can’t afford it oh well who needs food I’m buying a Batmobile.
