The Birds Of Prey & Oracle Land In Knight Model’s Batman Soon
March 3, 2020 by brennon
Knight Models have been teasing more for their Batman Miniatures Game this week. Leading the way we have the one and only Harley Quinn who comes at the head of the Birds Of Prey, based on the latest DC film.
This set of miniatures are based on the characters towards the tail end of the film. Of course, leading the way you have Harley Quinn who is based on Margot Robbie's version of the character. On the far right-hand side you've also got her beloved Bruce.
Going from left to right you've then got Cassandra Cain, Huntress, Renee Montoya and Black Canary. Each of them are pretty good likenesses to their film counterparts and if you were a fan of the film then you'd be hard-pressed not to snap these up. It's nice to have alternatives in the mix and of course, this also adds in a bunch of new characters for you to use alongside the well-known Quinn.
Watching Out For You
As well as the Birds Of Prey we also got a peek at the new miniature for Oracle who is also coming this weekend.
Oracle was once Batgirl until an encounter with The Joker left her severely injured. With the knowledge that she could no longer be a crime fighter in the traditional sense, she then turned her skills in investigation towards helping out Batman in a different way. Now she keeps an eye on all of Gotham and feeds information to Batman when he is on the mean streets.
It will be interesting to see how her role is then presented on the tabletop...
What do you think of these two new releases?

Giggles…birds of prey the film, now in tabletop…!!!
So do they come with a special rule that says if you’re playing them and you call your opponent a misogynist you automatically win because Birds of Prey?
Prefect reply good sir… and thanks for the humour, nice figures of course…
LOL You’re welcome! And yeah, even if the movie was trash, they did a decent job on the models to make sure they look like their on-screen counterparts.
I thought the movie was ok. I mean, it’s better than some of the other terrible DCEU movies.
Sigh. Dammit Knight Models. I just got done doing two massive orders from you guys. I can’t afford to pick up Oracle right now, but it’s such a freaking sweet looking model.
Is she going to be batman’s felicity for tech support?
More like Felicity was Green Arrow’s Oracle.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any Batman/Gotham stories.
Fair enough. You’re along the right tracks in your thinking with the tech support angle, but Oracle has been around for decades (over 30 years now!). She was very much the behind-the-scenes hacker type though.
I think the only media outside the comics (who retconned Oracle out of existence almost a decade ago) to actually include Oracle, is the Arkam games.
So not having heard of Oracle is not that strange.
Most people connect Barbera Gordon with Batgirl.
I hope that Oracle mini means that we get a starter based on the best run of Birds of prey. They already have Hawk, Dove, Lady Shiva, Blue Beetle, hawk girl and Catwoman from the original run and Katana and Poison Ivy if you include the roster from new 52, so we are pretty set already, but what about future releases? Black Canary and Huntress are the obvious choices, but how deep will they dig? Big barda, Cassandra Cain(proper mute batgirl type or Orphan), Lady Blackbird, Judo master, Man hunter? So many fun possibilities. Oracle is going to be a… Read more »
I would love to add the ‘Oracle’ to my collection.
I’ve always liked the storyof “hero finds new life after their career of kicking butt and taking a beating”.
