Pre-orders are now available from Mantic Games for the new Ratkin Warband and a selection of additional options for those wanting to play as these Fantasy furry fiends in Kings Of War: Vanguard. You can start things out with the aforementioned Warband Set.
Ratkin Warband Set // Kings Of War: Vanguard
This set gives you a good selection of miniatures to get you started with the Ratkin in Vanguard. At the core of the force are the Ratkin Warriors but you've also got a resin War Chief and the metal Scurrier upgrades plus two plastic Nightmares, resin Ratkin Nests and then all of the warband cards you need to play them.
It's neat to see the Ratkin faction getting a big upgrade for Kings Of War: Vanguard and I'm sure a lot of folks will use this as a springboard for their larger Ratkin armies in Kings Of War too. Alongside the Ratkin Warband, you've also got the Booster Set.

This set offers up a selection of new characters for you to use when you need specialists in your warband. All of the miniatures in this set are made of resin and you get a Brute Enforcer, Warlock and Hackpaw who are all ready to spread chaos and mayhem on the tabletop.
Keeping with the theme of specialists, you can also now pre-order the Birthing Daughter who is in charge of making sure the little ones grow up into scurrying little blighters.

This is certainly one of the miniatures that would work well crossing over from Kings Of War: Vanguard into something like Warpath or Deadzone. A few of the miniatures in the wider range would also work too, especially with a bit of kit-bashing. As a whole, it's a neat range which is capped off by their Vermintide Set.

Who wouldn't want a writhing swarm of Ratkin which can swarm over your enemies and drag them down into the dirt? There are plenty of fun miniatures to tinker with amongst the Ratkin collection and it could well be a nice new direction to take your Kings Of War hobby.
What do you make of the miniatures now they're painted up and ready to pre-order?

Rats!
That’s some awesome sauce.
Apart from reusing the Deadzone Nightmares these all look really good. The Nightmares aren’t bad models but I think they look too sci-fi for fantasy army.
Looks like a great work team for expanding their nests an breaking into dwarf mine’s
Oh. My. God!!! Those are awesome!
