Mantic Games continued with the previews of what we've got coming for their Fantasy world of Kings Of War with more peeks at the Ratkin armies which are marching to war soon. We start with a peek at some of the infantry options they have to offer which serve as the bulk of your force.

This new hard plastic kit comes with a load of options for those building up the core of their force. You've got some grotty looking rat creatures armed with some ramshackle weapons! I quite like that these Ratkin are a little more on the muscular side than others out there and whilst they have plenty of Fantasy elements about them, I like that there are hints to that more Steampunk aesthetic in play too with their masks and such.

In addition to offering up this basic infantry option, they also have some options coming soon which give you ways to turn your Ratkin into shock troops worth of raiding the front lines.

Crueller looking weapons and some rather fearsome masks make for an elite team of killers here! However, this isn't everything that's coming to support the future of the Ratkin in Kings Of War. You've also got some excellent looking monstrous creatures too!

This is the bloomin' massive and terrifying Mutant Rat Fiend which has been painted by Studio Giraldez.

Standing on a huge 75mm base, this is a mess of different rats which have been moulded together through mutation and magic and turned into a terrifying beast. That open maw in its belly is one of the most unpleasant yet coolest things I have ever seen on a miniature.

If you want something even bigger then you've also got this terrifying demon beast known as Scudku-z’luk, Demonspawn Of Diew!

Now that is a miniature. Well, a bigature! This particular creation is both an Abyssal Arch Fiend and a Ratkin that is ready to stomp onto the battlefield and crush everything in its path. I love that it has decided that it doesn't really need its sword because it's armed with two knuckledusters as well!

What do you make of these new Ratkin miniatures?
