Mantic Preview The Naiad Wyrmriders For Kings Of War
September 8, 2016 by brennon
Mantic Games have previewed some of the new Forces Of Nature creatures coming to the tabletop for Kings of War. Here we have the Naiad Wyrmdriders who are looking to destroy their foes on the battlefield.
The miniatures are drawing on that Naga feel and I like the design of the mounts. The riders and the Naiads in general might not be my cup of tea but I like that the riders feel like they fit with their mounts.
It would be fun to see someone work on some good basing for these to give them a proper ocean feel. Maybe you could even make it look like the beach as they're hauling their way out of the sea for battle.
What do you think?

I’m not a huge fan of the naiad models, but the mounts are cool. I’d consider picking these up.
Would make good sahuagin for D&D 🙂
No Kickstarter????? 😉
I think the naiads could be good miniatures, but Mantics paint job on them is shocking at the moment…..a good paint job sells miniatures and TT quality doesn’t cut it.
Naiads are fine but they mounts are real stars.
Those are cool. Getting more and more tempted by the Forces of Nature, once my hobby load diminishes.
sake riders nice & differant
Look alright, shame Mantic will likely produce them in metal or something.
Nice serpents.
Quite like those. Better than most of Mantic’s range. As @roguestar says though, they will likely be metal but I would much rather resin, plastic or even that PVC “premium plastic” crap they use for the board games.
I really like these ……. odd because I have never really been a sepent obsessed bloke
I think that the detail and poses on the models are decent, but they really need to work on their studio paint jobs. And as was said earlier, better metal than that restic crap that they used in their infancy.
good to see nice models from mantic
