Mantic Games has been showing off a new selection of releases which are going to be released this month for Kings Of War and Kings Of War: Vanguard. We start with some terrifying monsters from the Nightstalkers army.

We looked at an array of these previews a few weeks ago but it's good to get another good look at what is coming. The Nightstalkers are a great new style of Fantasy race that the team at Mantic dropped into the mix. I always like seeing these more alien forces throw into the mix for Fantasy games, especially when they also draw on tropes like the undead in order to cement them within the genre.

You get that sense of the 'undead' through this other unit which was previewed a few weeks go too, the Nightstalker Soulflayers. The sculpting here is really top-notch and I think Mantic excels when it comes to building bigger monstrous miniatures.

All of the miniatures from this upcoming crop of releases are going to be helping those who picked up the new Starter Set which featured both the Nightstalkers and the Northern Alliance. Talking of which, more of those barbarians from the north are making their way onto the battlefield too.

Northern Alliance Reinforcements

The collection of Northern Alliance options are for those looking to build up the core of your force with more warriors. You can pick up these Clansmen for example with some big hefty weapons for smashing their enemies into the ground.

As well as the Clansmen above who are all looking rather awesome we have my favourites from this bunch, the Northern Alliance Pack Hunters.

I always like seeing archers in the mix when it comes to wargames and these are no exception. The fur-clad look is very cool of course and I like that their bows actually seem to be sculpted from bone rather than wood which you'd traditionally expect.

The forces of the Northern Alliance have also joined forces with some of the other races from the realm of Pannithor. Here are the Ice Naiads who are also seeking to destroy the Nightstalkers who threaten their homes.

For those who dived in and picked up the Shadows In The North set, this might be a good next step. Pick up a few more reinforcements and dive into some bigger games!

Are you going to be building up these armies for Kings Of War?
