Testudo Bring 28mm Metal Medieval Infantry To Kickstarter
January 3, 2023 by brennon
Testudo Miniatures, originally featuring a line of wargaming soldiers by Giuseppe Rava, is back thanks to the work of Christian Amerise who is now on Kickstarter with a new range of 28mm metal miniatures for use in your Medieval wargames taking place across Europe.
28mm Historical Miniatures Kickstarter // Testudo Miniatures
The newest set of miniatures represents a range of different infantry that would have been fighting across Europe. You'll find Men-At-Arms, Bowmen, Crossbowmen and more that would have been fighting during the 1400s and could represent pretty much any army. A lot of the arms and armour was fairly similar so it would mostly come down to the colour you wanted to paint them.
Men-At-Arms // Testudo Miniatures
There are three different sets of packs for you to choose from including the Men-At-Arms above armed with their polearms. You've also got Crossbowmen but my favourites are the Bowmen.

The miniatures come in a variety of different poses. I like the chap (above) on the top right who is drawing back his arrow and going for a good shot on some charging rider I reckon.

It has been noted that you can actually use a lot of the miniatures and the personalities that Testudo has been working on to recreate the Battle Of Tannenburg that happened during 1410. I really like that this range has come back to life under Amerise and seems to be doing really well over on Kickstarter.
As well as some of the rank and file, you can also get your hands on characters like the ones below.
Historical Personalities // Testudo Miniatures
You can also dive deep into the collection from Testudo and get your hands on their older metal range that features a lot of cavalry. If you've been seeking knights and famous knights in particular, you'll want to have a closer look at what they have on offer.
Are you going to be diving into this Kickstarter?
