Meet Stumpo Art’s Dwarven Kings & Legends
July 16, 2019 by brennon
Raffaele Stumpo Art is now on Kickstarter looking to unlock more miniatures for their Dwarves: Kings & Legends range. As you can imagine, I am quite liking the look of this lot!
The campaign is looking to unlock these five heroes as you can see here. Each of them will be either available as the characters you see above, ready and willing to go to war, or as a Fantasy Football team who are going to own their opponents on the pitch instead.
Each of the figures is going to be cast in high-quality resin (as per usual with campaigns like this) and will be suited to 28/32mm wargaming on the tabletop. They were created because Raffaele loves playing the Dwarf character in any role-playing game that they play, so, it made sense to create a range which is a love letter to these beardy folk.
I decided to pick out three of my favourite characters from the campaign to take a closer look at. The first of these is King Raiden here!
He looks like a total badass, armed with that mighty hammer and axe combination. I like that we're seeing foot-on-head instead of foot-on-rock! He and most of the range would work very well alongside a lot of the Avatars Of War Dwarves which people use for The 9th Age.
Next up we have Slayer Azakal who is going to be at the head of your army, charging towards the biggest thing he can see!
I think that these would be a good fit for the scale and proportions of Age Of Sigmar too. Whilst we've seen a lot of focus on Kharadron Overlords and Fyreslayers over the last couple of years there are still regular Duardin who fight alongside the armies of Sigmar too. So, I think these would be great character options to lead the way.
Last of my picks goes to Wizard Kirak here who is harnessing the power of runes to blast apart his opponents.
All of the miniatures are looking fantastic and would be a welcome addition to any Fantasy army, whether you're playing something like 9th Age, Age Of Sigmar or maybe Warlords Of Erehwon. There are lots of options open to you.
I like the idea of using them as upgraded and enhanced versions of your starting characters in an RPG like Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play perhaps!
What do you make of these new characters?

Those are some great looking dwarves.
They look great, would love to drop them into a KoW army.
look great, fit right in with the Avatars of War dwarfs I’ve got…
they all look brilliant.
Now them’s what I call proper Dwarves, not all this trendy Steampunk nonsense.
Well done!
