Goblin King Games have launched their new Kickstarter campaign allowing you to dive deep into the world of Moonstone. I don't know if you've heard but it's a multi-award-winning Fantasy miniatures game showcasing amazing 32mm figures. Will you be diving into Shades Of Moonreach?

Shades Of Moonreach - Moonstone

Shades of Moonreach pushes the story of Moonstone on once again and starts to tell a creepy tale (suitable for the season!) featuring a brand new cast of characters. The Shades have arisen and are now abroad, collecting moonstones for a reason that no one understands.

In-game, this spooky side of things is going to be represented by the use of reanimation where you'll benefit from the death of your own characters, pushing curses on your opponents. You'll also be able to summon a gaggle of (as Goblin King Games put it) "pathetic yet charmingly enthusiastic minions". The Shades are their own faction with a new set of abilities and tactics for you to uncover in your games, tinkering and exploring all manner of new combinations of ideas.

As you might have guessed from the spooky vibes, this Kickstarter also contains a whole host of awesome miniatures!

New Miniatures - Moonstone

There are some amazing characters coming out for you to add to your collection. All of them join the 32mm resin collection from Goblin King Games and have a definite vibe to them! I really like that it seems like the Goblin King folks have tapped into the weird and the uncanny with this new crop of releases and I think a variety of these sculpts wouldn't look out of place scampering around the margins of an ancient religious text!

New Miniatures!

There are a lot of new miniatures for you to scoop up, either as a big bundle or in individual Troupes if you would prefer.

We saw some of these miniatures over the past few weeks thanks to some previews by Goblin King Games. It was great to delve a bit deeper into those stories and if you're interested in the lore, I would recommend looking back over Gerry's articles where he lovingly drooled over what was coming up for Moonstone.

Even if you're not someone who enjoys the gaming side of things in the hobby, the range of miniatures from Goblin King Games could be an amazing new painting project. I don't think there are too many ranges out there that are as unique as Moonstone, especially after looking through the artwork here.

What's also nice is that even if you do jump into Moonstone with the intent of just painting the miniatures, the game is so open that you could probably end up just diving into some games with whatever you've picked up later down the line. I know that I'm particularly interested to see how on earth Nanny and her strange critters work on the tabletop!

As well as putting together a range of individual sets, you can also pick up some bundles which offer you chances to dive in as two players. If you've been tempted by Moonstone but do not know where to begin, you could use these as a guide to drop you into the game running.

More is on the way for the multi-award-winning Moonstone and it's great to see that some amazing sculpts are on the way plus a continuation of the storyline. I reckon this might have snared a whole bunch of people!
