Hysterical’s Panzerfauste Off To A Good Start On Kickstarter
October 11, 2015 by brennon
Hysterical Games' Panzerfauste has been doing exceptionally well after it's Kickstarter launch yesterday. The goal of their campaign is to keep adding more factions to their game with the first two, the Dwarves and the Gnomes already ready and raring to go...
The game is going to have both a skirmish and mass battle version. The mass battle Beta Rules are actually already available for you to have a go at over on Wargame Vault if you want to give it a go.
Dwarves
The first of the factions that we're going to take a look at are the Dwarves. We're looking here at the two rather important aspects of the faction with both their command set and the Infantry that you'll be getting in the game.
I really like the character of the models and it seems very fitting that the Dwarves have taken on the look of a German army. They fit the feel and the aesthetic of the German army very well and I think they really look the part.
Orcs
The greenskins are not going to be left out of the fighting when there are Dwarves to smash. With that in mind they have taken on the guise of the humble British soldier.
Once again they fit the bill really well. Of course the green of their uniforms might clash with their greenskin but surely that makes for even more impressive camouflage when they're in the field covered in mud and blood. The command options are awesome with their cricket bat wielding captains.
Gnomes
The third of the big factions that have got most of their army fleshed out are the Gnomes. With their rather smart looking facial hair, superb uniforms and chefs behind the scenes feeding the troops these could well be a sleeper hit.
As always with these factions there are loads of other models on the way including specialists and big burly brutes. If you want to find out more about these aspects of the army then you can pop on over to their project page.
The stretch goals have been mowed down by the relentless pledging of new backers over the weekend so their original target is going to be achieved.
Will you be backing this?

Wow…all this stuff looks so good! I especially love the Orcs.
If anybody ever wanted Kommando Orks these are the best I’ve ever seen. Brilliant.
But personally, I’m waiting for the Snail Artillery. Those were genius.
I allready backed the kickstarter. Orc commando’s whats not to love!?
Unfortunately, given the state of the AvP KS I’ve had my fingers thoroughly burnt, I’m not touching anything Prodos-related. If its that good I’ll wait for retail (as apparently I’ll get it quicker that way!)
I’m in on this KS it looks fantastic!!!! Is it likely BOW are going to have a face to face with Rob and Steve??
I’ve been waiting a while for this one and and its looking great so far, carn’t wait tll I see the bear panzers
The orcs look very cool.
But this is a KS that involves Prodos, and that’s a huge NO, NO for me. They’ve still failed to deliver AvP to a number of their backers and I did not receive everything I was promised when I backed Warzone.
A buyers beware label, should be attached to this KS!
They do say they have an alternate manufacturer lined up as a fallback…
I wonder who that nameless manufacturer is?
And remember that the managing director for Hysterical is the sales manager for Prodos…
Assuming you want to paint the orcs with green skin (not a given, and I don’t know if the setting specifies that orcs are green) then it won’t merge with the uniforms as the British ones were Khaki, not green.
Nope. Not interested in anything that involves Prodos.
Which is a shame as the figures in and of themselves actually look quite nice.
I am tempted by these for Warpath
These look good, and also looking out for the 4th Faction,Troglodytes with their Bear Brute as well. Rob and Steve said Prodos was not a definate, so don’t let that stop you, and the other ks that have used Prodos have gone well…
I don’t agree with the negativity. Most of the first models have allready been produced as you can see on the kickstarter page. I think they look great and I can’t wait for next year!
Can see a lot of previous posters feel the same way i do. Didn’t back the warzone or avp kickstarters but having seen what has happened there, not risking it.
Time will tell
