Handelabra Games Brings Aeon’s End To Steam
November 6, 2018 by cassn
Aeon's End is a cooperative deck-building game where you struggle to defend the city of Gravehold from The Nameless and their hordes using unique abilities, powerful spells, and, most importantly of all, your wits.
Aeons End is a competitive deck-builder. Players begin with a basic deck and gradually add more powerful cards while gaining relics, gems, and spells to aid battle.
Players use gems to gain aether which can be traded for cards. Aeon's End also makes use of mechanics such as randomized turn order to recreate 'the chaos of battle', and interesting deck management rules.
Handelabra have teamed up with Aeons End designer Kevin Riley to bring this popular card game to Steam. Handelabra were the team who took Sentinels of the Multiverse digital, so there's an element of quality assurance about this adaptation.
The Kickstarter is already 50% funded with four weeks remaining, and backers can begin their pledge from as little as $15.There are a couple of issues, however; there is no option for multiplayer in this original release, or the ability to play it on mobile or tablet as of yet.
Still, for those who have enjoyed the physical version of Aeons End, this Kickstarter promises to provide a quality digital interpretation. So if you think you have what it takes to defend Gravehold, you can add your pledge here.
