Delve Into Cavern’s Deep With Dwarven Forge’s New Kickstarter
July 27, 2018 by brennon
Dwarven Forge is back on Kickstarter working on a new range of terrain pieces, both in plain plastic or pre-painted for you to create massive dungeon landscapes with.
The collection breaks down into a range of different rooms as you'll see below...
...and if you're wondering why there are so many combinations then Dwarven Forge have answered that question in this video.
The terrain that Dwarven Forge create is the really nice boutique product that you'd want to snap up for the Dungeon Master who really wants to upgrade from cardstock tiles. Honestly, the sight of one of these dungeon sets covered in 3D terrain and packed with monsters and heroes would be one of the coolest things ever.
All of it has been designed so that it is entirely modular and can be mounted on a range of magnetic sheets too so that nothing slides around on the tabletop. Doors and such can all be opened and of course, they have plenty of ways to include traps and such too.
The range of options from this Kickstarter is somewhat staggering and thanks to the way backers have funded this project there are lots of new optional extras getting unlocked too.
So, are you going to be delving into this and if so do you already own some Dwarven Forge or is this going to be your first time snapping it up?

Amazing terrain that they create. It will be on my list should I ever win the lottery. That is not to say I could not afford them now but I would need a second house to display these wonder items as my wife would kill me if it was in my house that we live in. The issue is I would want all of the modules and have them all on display all the time and this would take up a large part of my current home — so I will keep dreaming….
Yes one please, ?
This just looks amazing, and I would love to have EVERYTHING. Can’t afford it … but looking at a couple of the core sets .. Looking at Encounter 5 ‘Cave of Ruin’ — The ruins would work great with Frostgrave I think (Video just went up). So much to drool over. Great job DF.
Terrain prices in general are high, most of the battles played in Beasts of War uses more terrain than I can afford.
Dwarven Forge are very expensive for what you get.
I assume it’s only clubs, company’s that sell games/terrain and the reviewers like Beast of War who get demo/review copies for free use the stuff.
The first couple of kickstarters where just that, kickstarters. They tiles where very well priced, and you got more then enough to fill your table. DF was awesomet back then. However, the last few kickstarters have been insanely expensive. With each new KS getting more and more expensive, for less product. They justify this by the use of, in my opinion, pointless gizmos. The magnetic wall ornimates are cool enough, but LED lights is just too much for anything but show pieces. The biggest disappointment, is how they now structure their stretchgoals. Sure they give away quite a few SGs,… Read more »
