Bronze Age Miniatures Battle Jotunn With Their Viking Warriors
February 21, 2018 by brennon
Bronze Age Miniatures have taken to Kickstarter with their band of Northmen, both male and female, which would be great for both Historical and Fantasy games. Check out some of what they have on offer plus this awesome art that was done for the campaign...
We start off by looking at the female miniatures as it's always nice to see more Shieldmaidens thrown into the mix for our tabletop games in the Dark Age.
There are actually three different sets of miniatures that can be picked up. All of the sets come with different weapon choices opening up your options when it comes to building your warband.
I really like the ladies pictured here with the spears as well as the Viking with the bow and arrows. I love the idea of a proper Viking huntress heading out into the wilds to hunt down beasts and more.
We also have a set of male warriors, following up with a similar array of options as the women.
Could these chaps work nicely as character miniatures for making your Hearthguard units feel a bit more unique in games or maybe as role-playing characters in a proper Viking setting?
One of the coolest additions to the Kickstarter campaign is the use of this fellow, the Jotunn, as something your Vikings can battle against on the tabletop.
I think it would be remiss of you NOT to add him to your order so you had something epic to paint up alongside some of the standard miniatures. You could even have a go at recreating the artwork from the top of this story in diorama form.
What do you think of these new warriors?

Great figure’s the elephant troll looks brilliant.
Those are really nice looking minis.
Great mini’s! I could use some Viking heroes.
Now I wonder what the best game with the Bronze Age as the background is! Do the manufacturing guys have ruleset of their own?
The monster with the tusks is one to be the centrepiece of many a model´s collection. It´s so huge compared to the size of the normal-sized miniature. It´ll need a lot of arrows, spears and strikes with axes to cut him down. I can hear him bellowing.
I was intrigued until I saw the price of that Jotunn. This is one of those KSs that is just out of my league.
Reminds me of an old game called Celtos.
