4Ground Reveal New Mordanburg State Guard Models
July 4, 2017 by brennon
4Ground has shown off the three new characters that will be coming to the Mordanburg State Guard, one of the factions in The Legends Of Fabled Realms which is currently running on Kickstarter.
Each of these models has their own backstory. For example, Pytor above used to be a farmer and comes from a long line of White Wynfell descendants. He then took up a position within the State Guard to get a little more gold in his pocket.
Next up we have Sar here who took up the axe and defended her village from bandits. Shortly after she joined the State Guard and became good friends with Pytor. They can often be found with others in the taprooms of the local village.
Last but not least we also have Steppan. He avoids combat as much as possible and can be found hunting through the battlefield after a conflict to find trinkets for his 'retirement fund'.
Sometimes it pays to be hanging around at the back, shooting his foes and then benefitting from their demise. I really like the model and the theme of the State Guard which is very in keeping with the likes of Joe Abercrombie and his literary world.
What do you think of the Mordanburg State Guard and could they be your faction of choice?

Can’t wait to see the actual models!
Yeah, los of solid flair potential to me. Got a soft spot for rough merc -like soldier models. Need to see the finished minis.
I’m in for one set currently and these models are definitely at the front of the queue.
Indecision ………..(I am trying NOT to say bugger it lets get ALL of the factions ..but)
Man, behaving myself with KS is hard to do! Once the goblins show up for the mercs I’ve got a feeling they’ll pull ahead a bit, but it’s hard to choose. Nice problem to have at least though when it all looks awesome 🙂
Those do look really promising.
