Kaha Take Sun Wukong to Salute
February 15, 2016 by dracs
Kaha Miniatures have a special offer available for everyone attending Salute, giving you the chance to pick up an exclusive model of Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King.
Sun Wukong is probably the most famous figure of Chinese mythology and one which has inspired a good number of miniatures in the past. Kaha's interpretation is perhaps my favourite so far.
The appearance of this miniature at Salute is definitely good news for anyone attending, and the special offer it is part may be just the excuse needed to pick up some of Kaha's sculpts.
Personally, I would love to see this painted up and included in a game like Bushido. It would be interesting to see what rules people come up with for such an infamous figure.
Do you think you'll try and pick up Sun Wukong when you go to Salute?

I just love this miniature… 🙂
Born from an egg on a mountain top,
Funkiest Monkey that ever popped,
He knew every magic trick under the sun,
Tease the Gods and everyone can have some fun.
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic,
Monkey magic, Monkey magic ooh!
Tripitaka!!
Like that. Shame once again that I will never be able to get it as I live 9,500km from salute. Do not understand why companies make things limited. If they re worried about having left over stock why not have a limited time to order your copy? CB sell the gencon exclusive to everyone online but just during the gencon days.
I’m pretty certain this mini was available for mail order a few months back, @gmpsjj. I guess Fancagne just got another batch of them made up to take to Salute.
Arr I went off what I miss read on the info on the poster thing. But other companies do do the only here and now thing and it gets me sometimes when it is something like this. It’s the same feeling as going to an art exhibition and really liking a certain piece and finding out it is the only one they have no print or postcard for
Thanks redben for letting me know. I might just have to order one. I do like it.
I’m not sure if it’s available for mail order right now, but it has been in the past, and hopefully will be again in the future. Possibly as soon as post-Salute when there might unsold stock from this run.
