Happy Sunday!!
Maybe Saga2 arrives before I finish making up my models for what I guess we now call Saga 1?
Greek Fantasy in Saga 2 !?! But where oh where am I ever going to lay my hands on loads of minis for that? Hopefully it’ll accept MBP scale….
The way you described Z-Man’s History of the world made it sound a bit like SmallWorld with changing factions and area control. I’m sure it’s a lot more than that so I’m going to keep my eye on it.
A Samurai SAGA army would be pretty cheap to do as you would only need 7 models
XD
Samurais were around for about 700 years, but I’m assuming early 12C.-14C will be what they focus on although the Heian period leading up to the emergence of Samurai as we know them would also be a fascinating period to explore.
Boris Woloszyn’s FB page, where you can see even more of his amazing sculpts, including the full cast of the original Heroquest:

The Black Hole is the movie that Neil deGrasse Tyson called ‘the least scientifically accurate movie of all time”! I preferred Battle Beyond the Stars of the Star Wars cash-in movies.
Trust FFG to FTU with Lot5R. Twenty years of ‘roll and keep’ out the window, hello funny dice. Hard pass.
The Black Hole robots were V.I.N.CENT and B.O.B., who would definitely fit into a chibi robot style game. I think you can rent the movie on Youtube, but it really doesn’t hold up well. I loved the movie growing up, but watching it as an adult is a bit… disappointing.
@thisiszararl thank you for that, the boys loved seeing themselves on the screen… already asking me if we can play the next stage of the campaign. Meant every word the boot camp was a great experience and the content on the site does an awesome job of introducing new things. Great team effort.
@lloyd welcome to the drinks pal it was a great weekend and I will never forget the Demons and sh!t. I will ensure to have a good wake every now and then 🙂
Martin
🙂 lol cheers Martin.
@thisisazrael see above 🙂
both excellent movies, but I would have to go for the Last Starfighter, death blossom for the win!
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGA!
I shall bring down some new Normans I have to show off @Lloyd
Also I’m pretty sure one of the new fellas is called Duncan, like PJ and Duncan that’s how I’m choosing to remember them
Happy Sunday,
just started the vid(watching in bed with the other half asleep) and she rolls over and murmurs oh lloyds, oh AZ then ahhhh Justin. NOT worried to bring her to another bootcamp MUCH!
Just glad Gerry not on this weekend lol!
“Don’t share a room with Ben.” ” He’s like a Jack hammer!” At that point I spat my tea out! 😉
Sexy furious living up to his title.
Another fantastic show. Thanks guys 🙂
Any chance of a live vlog of @thisisazrael learning Saga? That would be awesome 🙂
Perfect chance for some learning to play.
Also is Saga 2 also going to be Studio Tomerhawk and Gripping Beasts – or do they look at going it alone ?
I asked the same question after watching the teaser video which had no GB minis. But that may just have been an accident in trying to give a flavour of an expanding setting
I’ve never quite been clear what the relationship is between Studio Tomahawk and Gripping Beast over Saga. I would guess a healthy partnership something along the lines of publisher/IP Owner and distributor. The distributor just so happens to have sourced and assembled a range of complementary products (minis etc) from various suppliers, some repackaged OEM style (e.g. Saga starter sets) that creates a compelling value proposition.
GB are the english publisher for Saga, and to be perfectly honest they’ve done a fairly piss poor job with some books being out of print for nearly a year. I do understand that limited print runs can be expensive, but if people can’t buy your product then they won’t play it. I’m hoping with the change to one book per universe they’ll be able to keep the catalogue available this edition.
HAha…Justin is father jack lol
Great Show but needs more added Saga
I thought so as well
Ben you are under paid and over worked. You are the Beast of War official cat herder =P
I loved THE BLACK HOLE FILM you forgot about Maximillian @Lloyd the evil bot that was trying to kill the others.
@zorg – yeah, it was pretty scary with the blades on the hands.
Happy sunday guys!
@dignity , keep painting a lot of stuff, eventually, you’ll get a lot of stuff done 😉
The Black Hole movie (1979) was a favourite of mine growing up, alongside Star Wars of course 🙂
My wife @Jenzee not only sleeps sitting up, I’ve had her fall asleep standing up before mid game 😀
That Infinity Command board looks intriguing going to have to take another look at it.
Great show guys! Love all the Saga talk!
Thank you so much for you kind words and the golden button. Very much appreciated gentlemen. Roll on the Dark Souls expansion! Of course I’m now going to say this was an excellent show but despite not playing I do enjoy your Saga chats. The illithid miniature was just lovely.
Well deserved! Once the dust has settled I’ll photograph and submit mine… although a Golden Button’s probably out of the window now 😉
Lovely work on your minis sir.
