I have to admit that I have NEVER tried Infinity Uprising models from Corvus Belli, we don’t see much in the way of these models in Australia. Models look great in Detail, one day!!
I am super happy for Infinity’s story expanding. I am also sad that this means Yu Jing is going to be getting heaps more new shiny toys.
I wish the first video explained a bit background and what happens to YJ players who just lost almost half of they armies.
Fantastic addition to the game in my opinion. Now my regular opponent and I play two separate lists instead of both playing Yu Jing. Love it!
I can’t believe that I bought Red Veil / Beyond Red Veil just 2 months ago as a start for collecting my Yu Jing – especially since only JSA really “called out to me” 🙂
If JSA really will split from Yu Jing I will be in a quite a pickle, but somehow it’s all fine thanks to those AMAZING models 🙂 I can’t wait to get my hands on them!

some absolute stunners in there. the oniwaban, kuroshi and kuge delegates are top draw.
the miniatures are of coarse beautiful but it’s the dynamism with the lore that’s the most impressive. i honestly thought when you mentioned controversy last year that we were going to see Ariadna split like this, but this is even better. this dynamism in the narrative is likewise going to create dynamism in the meta.
Once the campaign starts, Ariadna will have enough to deal with without a split…
Was just about to get round to sorting out my Haqq army and now these guys turn up just round the corner.

I am happy to see a storyline about human conflict. To me this is much more exciting than if they expanded Tohaa or Combined Army.
Minis are cool and all, but what I really wait for i show the story unfolds and how does that army and old YuJing stand after the break.
It seems it is a good time to start to collect another faction for Infinity! 😀 Japanese dudes looks really cool, I was a great fan of the old Oniwaban sculpt, but this new looks more dynamic.

Always wanted to do the JSA sectorial, but the mini were so old dated, now, it’s a wonderful pack, + the O-Yoroi will fit perfectly in the list!

It’s gone a bit full circle for me here. I first started Infinity because of the unboxing of the JSA starter pack here on BoW, and now I’m seeing this new unboxing of the Japanese Secessionists.
The Daiyokai’s pose is kind of “lame.” Looks like the default T-pose or the idle animation of a video game character.
I’m really excited to hear about the Troop profiles of the new units, I’m mostly interested in how Unit-9 might perform. I like most troops with SMG’s I don’t expect these guys to be any different.

Visually, they’ve outdone themselves again.
I feel like this “unaligned” movement is going to add a good bit to the universe without “power creep”. Could be easier to pick up new armies for folks since may already have some of the pieces.

Played Infinity when it first came out, loved the rules but felt iffy on assembly and painting the minis. Just felt to thin and fragile at times. Looks like there models have become much more robust, might have to look at the game again. I’ve already bought all their rpg stuff because I really like the world.

Beautiful miniatures, I love the bikers miniature. I think these will be a great faction to go up against the US Ariadna boxed army. Also the new book looks and sounds cool, can’t wait for a video on that.
That bike and the heavy, makes me want to jump factions…I don’t know if I can leave nomads behind, but wow this box is cool.

All the models look amazing except the heavy infantry. He just seems a bit clunky to me.
I would probably also replace the scythe of the bike rider if I had it for a katana as it seems more in theme for the JSA.
I especially love the Major and Batou models for the Section er Unit 9 🙂
The figure is pretty much Celty from Durarara. So she needs to keep the scythe. 🙂

I´m extremly excited about the new box and the book. I think the Japanese miniatures are some of the best sculpted Tabletop Miniatures i have ever seen.
I was never a big manga/anime style fan in my live but even the Cat Lady graps me totaly. I was just about to finish my haqqislam and start my druze at the moment but i definitly think i will start with the JSA, they are too delicious!

Infinity is one of those games where I think I can resist any faction – and then whenever the faction is under the spotlight I realise that I can not. This new JSA starter looks bad ass, and I like the direction (was the separation foreshadowed?). However, as someone who has sorely been missing the opportunity to make crazy merc forces since N3 came out, the Non-Aligned armies book is even more interesting to me 😀
It was foreshadowed in so far as the Japanese citizens and troops were consistently treated as nearly sub-human second class citizens and the Kempeitai were described in the fluff as working as subversive separatist agents. AFAIK the time of uprising was given as “one day” or “soon” but nothing definite was stated then.
No Oniwaban in Yu Jing…makes me very sad
I really like how smooth the minis can be put together. They all look great but the Geisha one is my favourite. Also the terrain looks fantastic, very Japanese and high tech. Cannot wait for the spoilers about the story.

This is such exciting news. I have been waiting for a JSA split forever. I’ve been out of Infinity for a couple of years, but this is definitely bringing me back. Love all the models, but least keen on the biker. Must have!
Love the new casting and assembly techniques! Such a good idea to make accessing these as a newer player so much easier without even realizing it! Love the new sculpts as well!
Having been skeptical seeing some of the studio paintjob shots, getting to see the metals has changed my mind on a lot of them… the Delegate is full of character, the Ryuken are great, and that Oniwaban is the epitome of ‘ninja assassin’. Even the Daiyokai, for all his giant-hat, looks great. Plus the whole set proves Corvus Belli is advancing leaps and bounds with casting models in parts that are easy to assemble and will hold firm, which is something to look forward to in every other miniature they’ll be releasing in future.
I am, however, still not a fan of the Celty… the model, the background material go past a reference and even an homage. It is a nice sculpt, and the bike but I think at the very least that scythe ought be a naginata or a jumonji yari, as a minimum step to differentiate and have a proper homage rather than a copy-paste!

Cameos I love in general and most of the minis I deem very good. Just missing this “Bam! Fantastic miniatures!” feeling. Infinity standards can ruin you, I guess… ^^
The Oniwaban is perfect to me. The Keizoku SO, the female Keisotsu and the Brawler I like a lot.
The HI is cool, but don’t really see it like this in Infinity with it’s style of slick, subtle and cunning. Similar with the biker. Or, rather, her scythe (no matter the hommage, it would have fit the world better in a different design).

YES!! I’ve been curious about starting a Yu Jing faction, since I’ve been told so convincingly by @bostria that it is the superior faction, (despite all actual performance evidence 😉 😛 ). But only the Japanese Sectorial appealed to me.
Now this makes my job so much easier! I can just play the JSA without worrying about keeping my allegiances concealed! 😀 😀 😀

Ever since i saw the Kuroshi Rider i have wanted to paint it and model it to look like it would have the scythe touching the ground and ripping the road up as she drives.

Pretty excited to see this uprising play out and how the power shifts in the sphere! We need more lore! As far as the models go, I love the new aesthetic and I’m glad to hear they are starting from ground zero on the feel of the army. I’ll have to get someone to play their ISS with me for some fun thematic games.

Utterly jaw dropping set for my favourite faction and about time there was a revolt against the Chinese rulers. This is a must buy box for me. The cat is a great touch as is the ‘cat helmet’ on the biker…. Think I may have seen that somewhere before……I hope this one comes with her head attached… 😉

Complete newbie to Infinity asking, but how many points worth of army is in the box?
I am seriously excited about this. The first thing I bought for Infinity was the old JSA starter. I’ve been hoping they would get some love for a long time now. I’m really enjoying what I’ve seen of the miniatures so far. Assembly looks like it will be much easier. I also really love the detailing on the HVT. I love the look of the floral patterns on the kimonos, but they can be a little hard to paint for a still fairly novice painter with only one eye. The fact that the pattern is a detail on the fig itself will make it way easier for me to paint.
I’m also really excited to see them advance the story involving Yu Jing and the JSA. I really like that the game’s storyline evolves, and it’s not just static and stuck in one moment. I can’t wait to see how it progresses and how other factions become involved.
Damn those models are nice! Was thinking of starting a Yu Jing army guess that’ll be put on hold!

I’m curious which of the ninjas still work with JSA and which ones are now Yu Jing. Love some of the ninja sculpts but I’ve always preferred the Japanese troops so this is perfect for me. Oniwaban forever. What a great sculpt!!!

Everything looks amazing but if I had a magic want to change one thing, instead of the map being double sided have one side be plain white and matt not glossy. Why? Because then it would be easier to use 3M 777 spray mount and mount the map to some heavy foam core. The kind that is 1/4″ thick. I have done it with other starter sets but it took a while to get it correct and I had to lay down a lot of weight to get everything to stick due to glossy print. Then, I also loose a poster.
Other than that, look great. There is a very active Infiinty community at one of the clubs I go to and I have no doubt to see these kits as soon as they get released.
I am super happy for Infinity’s story expanding. It gave me some ideas for other corporations and teams for player created builds.

So you’ve got a Major Kusenagi and a Batou in there and then…… on a friggin bike… as she should be… a friggin Celty from Durarara. You guys are melting my weeb heart.
Gonna paint her helmet yellow when I inevitably get this set……..
I’ve never really looked at infinity before, but these look fantastic.

From the concepts, to the sculpts, to the assembly, these minis are flippin’ amazing! Corvus Belli needs to stop putting out such awesome stuff (not really though, keep it coming :p)

Finally a Model for the Brawlers and it looks (like everything since third edition) totaly awesome. Can’t wait to put paint on those minis!

A new oniwaban and stil one of the most gorgeous minis in my opinion.
I really love the new miniatures, even if I would have replaced the scythe of the kuroshi by a naginata/nagamaki.
I’m a little embarrassed, however, with the keisotsu’s faces.

Oh man, just got Red Veil to start Infinity, because the JSA was part of Yu-Jing. I suppose it’s still a good choice to learn the game, but now i have to grap another big box to get the Kaizoku…

The mini’s look supercool and the artwork is amazing as always. Not to mention the idea of creating new rules and lore to re-use existing mini’s both to enhance gameplay and frankly value of already bought stuff. So cool.

Really really pumped to get my hands on this. I’ll have to do some speedpainting while I’m waiting for this to ship, because once I have these my other paint projects are going to suffer delays.
Just pulled out my JSA from a while back and picked up couple extra last week, then trailer hit. Know where my gaming budget going this month. Wow these are nice models, love how much easier they’re becoming to put together, but still expect issues with the Keisotsu Butai. With way they hold their rifles, that last arm is tough with my massive thumbs.
