Stunning Infinity Releases For November!
November 24, 2016 by dignity
We're diving back into the world of Infinity this week with a look at the releases for November!
Marauders, 5307th Ranger Unit
Leading the way we have the Marauders for Ariadna. They will be serving the USARF with a box of four miniatures that fit perfectly with what you get in the Starter Pack.
They make up an effective kill team that is capable of many different jobs. You could use them for taking out operatives, controlling objectives or even just defending a fixed outpost if needed. They are a good bunch of soldiers who don't shirk their responsibility!
Bashi Bazouks With SMG
Next, we're heading to join the forces of the Haqqislam and the Qapu Khalqi with the Bashi Bazouks. This paratrooper with a Holoprojector and the Sword of Allah is not to be messed with.
With the ability to enter the battlefield through unexpected vectors you'll be confusing the enemy with the added holo-echoes you bring to the tabletop. They are also super cost effective too!
Fraacta Drop Unit With Spitfire
The Combined Army and the Onyx Contact Force continue to impress with another single miniature. The Fraacta are the kind of paratrooper that can land and deliver a demolishing blow to an enemy position.
If you want to change the course of a battle then this is your best shot as they are also equipped with the ever reliable and dangerous Spitfire.
Kaauri Sentinels
Joining the Tohaa we have the Kaauri Sentinels who come as a set of two miniatures. Similar to other releases this month they are very versatile on the tabletop and can counteract any hidden threats on the tabletop.
For those worried about camo and impersonator units in the enemy ranks here is your solution.
Dire Foes Mission Pack 6: Defiant Truth
You got a look at this not long ago and it's finally coming out this month! As a great purchase after the events of Operation: Red Veil this is a great way to find out what happens after Neon Lotus.
Inside you get new miniatures for both Haqqislam and Yu Jing continuing their narrative in future missions.
Which is your favourite set from this new bunch of releases?
Weirdly in the somewhat frontal view that Bazouk girl’s breast cups look really low on her torso, but the side angle seems to indicate they are at a normal hight…
Well, everything is good Infinity standard. Nothing exciting. Maybe the blunt exaggeration of the Dire Foes pack is a bit annoying.
I do like the dire foes box, but I’ve already had my say on these. a definite for me. usariadna ain’t my thing but those marauders are scary. the sculpts themselves are solid, the standard we have come to expect for line troops. bashi bazouk has all the dynamism of the red veil version and that jump pack is awesome looking. no doubt there is some modelling to be done if you don’t like rocks but the camera angle is surely to blame for the mysterious breasts of illusion. I do like the paint scheme on them though and she… Read more »
I’m not an Infinity player, but the Ariadna look awesome !
It’s a real shame that the Dire Foes boxed set probably won’t be available until after Christmas. The Fracta is lovely, Sentinels are fine (hard to believe they are actually quite small models), the Bashi is great (the pose reminds me of the exclusive pre-order Merc for Red Veil). I’m slightly disappointed in the Maruaders tbh; they just seem less dynamic. I think some of my disappointment stems from the fact that 2 have binoculars.I remember having little green soldiers when I was young, and lets be honest, the guys holding the binoculars were the least interesting soldiers to play… Read more »
CB has really tried with the poses. I agree that the Marauders are boring. I hate the new static sniper poses. Most of the new poses are decent though. They used to be very goofy and over dynamically posed. Now they are just standing normally at ease. It is very hit or miss. A good example of dynamic action posed models is elheim miniatures. They are 20mm and they still look great. I do commend CB for moving away from scantily clad gals. No female soldier wears a miniskirt and stiletto heels. I get the anime influence that the models… Read more »
