Roll For Infinity With New Faction Dice
October 4, 2016 by dracs
Corvus Belli have released three new faction specific dice sets so you can show your Infinity allegiance as you make your rolls.
Every gamer is proud of their dice collection and these D20s look like a stylish addition.
Currently, there are sets for Yu Jing, Aleph and Haqqislam. with more on the way for the rest of the Infinity factions.
What faction do you play?
"Every gamer is proud of their dice collection and these D20s look like a stylish addition..."
Hope they release a JSA set.
Hi my name is beardragon14, and I like dice……I don’t even play the game and I am keen …. sob … I am so pathetic……. sob … Oh damn ………..weak b@stard
Hi beardragon14
Come on people this person has come to us for help. Now let’s make sure that he finds a way to overcome this sudden onset shiny syndrome affliction. Or we can just wait until after these shiny precious… my precious… he wants our precious….
Are two of these the same as the dice that come in the new 2-player starter set, “Operation Red Veil”? They also look remarkably like the dice sets coming soon as part of the Modiphius Infinity RPG add-ons so presumably there’s a whole range on its way including Mercs and possibly even O-12. Check out the KS page add-ins section for photos. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modiphius/corvus-bellis-infinity-roleplaying-game/description I already have some basic red (Nomad) and blue (Pan-O) from Icestorm and green Ariadna dice from US box and a few generic D20. Also some CA dice coming for the RPG… Do I need more? Maybe…
Just seen some backers griping on the RPG KS that these are being released before the KS ships… not that they were created as a result of the KS, they were only add-ins not unlocked by stretch goals or anything.
The reason why the dice haven’t been sent out to KS backers, I believe is because the the RPG hasn’t been finished yet (the dice and the mini’s are). Once the RPG itself is finished, then everything I presume will get sent in one go to save on shipping costs.
If the KS backers are upset, then I think they have the option to have them sent, but they have to pay the extra shipping.
So while I can see the reason why some might be annoyed, the reasoning given seems perfectly fine to me.
I have the sets from Op:Ice and USAriadna………and all 3 sets hate me.
From what i’ve been reading recently, the Infinity dice that come with the box sets are really poor quality. I can’t remember exactly but there’s a test to check if your dice are propery balanced (involves water and salt I think) and nobody that has tested the Infinity dice has said that they passed the test.
Yeah… you basically mix salt or sugar with water and then try to float the dice (it takes a lot of salt!) and see if the same # comes up each time… i did this with my whole collection of d20s and literally more than half of them aren’t balanced.. now.. does it really matter on a gaming table? I dunno… but I have now only been using the 8-10 dice that seemed to be truly balanced. I also did back the RPG KS and got some of these new dice, and although I haven’t floated them yet ( I… Read more »
Ahha. That’s the method.
At the end of the day, unless it’s a tournament I think can put up with the odd dodgy dice. 🙂
I’m a kickstarter backer and am looking forward to getting the faction d20’s.
can’t believe some folks are moaning about getting them after release.
you could definitely have them sent if you wanted to pay extra p&p.
being angary about such small meaningless things sounds like hard work.
no sectorial dice with the rpg so no JSA just yet
They are nice dice but not at that price
I’m guessing these are made by Q Workshop as it’s almost I possible to read them due to the amount of detail they have on them.
Looks like it. Have a few for a different Rpg and they look nice to throw on the table and make people jealous. as they were a pricy gift, I don’t think I will get enough for a full set for Shadowrun.
These look really nice, but I’m not what the price is meant to be. My distributor is saying £10.99, but I’m seeing lots of other online retailers quoting an RRP of £8.50 and pricing down from that. £10.99 seems like a lot, but £8.50 seems more reasonable.
