What are your experiences with Impersonation?
I am wondering how many times have actually played Haqquislam/CA and used a Fiday/Al-Djabel or a Speculo Killer? 😉 I thought you were mainly a PanO player…just like me. Impersonators are really deadly but require some finesse and above all…order efficiency. When you use MA3 you get +3CC and your opponent -3 at the same time (the 12 rolled would have been a miss). You can also move away from unconscious models (previously knocked out in CC) as it is possible to cancel the engaged state in such case: Cancellation This state is cancelled when the trooper ceases to be… Read more »
It would have also been a more favorable situation for you if instead of using Dodge/Smoke you just shot at both Zhanshis. You would be rolling for 17 (one die against each) or less against their 11s (11+3 for Range-3 for Surprise Attack). Against multiple weak opponents shooting them is in most cases better than smoke. I think the best loadout for a Fiday is the one with AP Mines…it can be really nasty if you place the mines in some spots where the explosion would engulf several models (firetems etc.). i think smoke is a viable option, if the zhan shi pass their armour on the shoot option then he would have better mods from the second order onwards. I think the shoot option has the bonus of possibly being more order efficient though and with the dice in your favour its a tempting option. i love the choices you are constantly faced with in this game , its like chess on steroids.
