Micro Art Design The Kokkyo District For Your Infinity Games
August 7, 2018 by brennon
Micro Art Studio has designed some new terrain for those looking to create the Kokkyo District on the tabletop in games of Infinity. The collection breaks down into three sets that give you a taste of the traditional and the modern.
One of the first sets is this array of Kokkyo Walls which can be used to help funnel the action into particular parts of the battlefield and act as perfect line-of-sight blockers. You don't want games of Infinity where the ARO is pinged every single time you move after all.
This provides you with a nice way to break up the space on the gaming table and it looks stunning too. I am very much reminded of one of the maps from Overwatch and an area on the Fortnite map by this terrain!
Peaceful Shrines
Placed amongst these walls you will also find the Kokkyo Shrines.
The Shrines give you some nice signature pieces to dot around the landscape alongside something like the walls. I like to think that all of this terrain could be included as part of a garden with rich greenery and alien plants all over the place; maybe even a few water features. It would be a very different and exciting battlefield to play through.
Going Deeper Underground...
The last of the sets is dedicated to the Kokkyo Subway Entrances which give you some options for deployment points and means of escape as your operatives dash to escape with the objective.
They also act as markers of the far future on the tabletop, bringing the game back into its Sci-Fi roots. I still think they should be included as part of this garden tabletop design where you frame them with lots of planters and exotic trees disguising their ugly metal exterior.
What do you make of this new terrain?

Those are some great looking terrain pieces.
love stuff like this, the lattice-work really makes it pop
Excellent. Just the additions I need for my neo-Tokyo game board for Infinity.
Looking really nice! I don’t like the Infinity aesthetic, but I could see myself using these elsewhere
i like these, may have to get myself some when i financially recover fro gencon.
Very nice great scenery.
Look pretty. It’d be great to have some buildings in the style as well, with the slanted rooftops. For the center of the table, or similar focal placement.
