Infinity Show Off Their June 2013 Releases!!!
June 28, 2013 by dignity
So guys with Infinity Week just around the corner we thought we'd show off the latest of the new releases coming out of the Infinity studios.
Lets get this party started with the 9th Wulver Grenadiers Regiment, for the Caledonian Higlander Army. This four man box set looks ready to tear chunks out of your opponents, and lets be honest who doesn't love the idea of having mutant werewolves charging up the table?
Next on this months line up is the Tohaa Support Pack. It looks like the new kids on the block have gotten a rather cool set of minis that are really going to help your forces on the battlefield with the combined units of the Kumotail Bioengineers and the Chaksa servants who are perfect for healing and repairing any of your damaged units, and dealing with mission objectives.
Now we come to what I think is the best of the set, Asuka Kisaragi and the Aragoto Senkenbutai Jun-I, for the Japanese Sectorial Army. These two miniatures look amazing, and in game Asuka has the speed and firepower to really bring the pain, and lets not forget that the Hacker option being added to an Aragoto Senkenbutai is perfect for any tournament mission, reaching any objective with a minimum waste of orders.
The Nomads have always had some really cool jump infantry, but with the addition of the new Hellcats they've cranked it up to eleven! These two new sculpts are rocking out on the gaming table not only with a hacker option, but also a HMG. That's right the next time your playing your buddy you'd better be keeping an eye on the sky and guarding your flanks in case this guy pops down for a spot of heavy metal death!
And now the final offering of the month, Haqqislam have sent out the Hassassin Barid, an expert hacker who can combine the skills of hacker, forward observer and Lt. in one miniature. I don't know myself if having so much loaded on one mini is too risky, but there's only one way to find out, get him out on your gaming table and test your skills!
I like the helmet opening in sevral parts for the Hellcat…
I love the Tohaa more and more !
I know what you mean! I only planned to get an Aleph army… but some how some Tohaa snuck into my shopping cart and now they just keep coming!
At long last a biker gang for Japanese sectorial. Only one comment I can make though is that the lass would look better if she looked more oriental for this faction. Overall though its on my must have list….
See, I like that she isn’t as Asian looking. It reminds me of the Draconis Combine from Battletech, where the Japanese culture was so overwhelming (backed by the power of Lord Kurita’s army) that everybody under its rule was bowing and wearing kimonos. If Yu Jing is similarly powerful in their home space (and the fluff says they are) then even those of non-asian descent in their territory should have started to assimilate Asian traditions and affectations (sort of how like present-day Japan has assimilated a great many American cultural affectations that you would never have found in a traditional… Read more »
She is an illegal circuit racer/ contraband courier, that has been caught and shoved into a regiment that is as close to a penal legion without openly acknowledging it as it could ever be.
And despite all that, she managed to become a symbol in the Yu Jing army, something she hates.
Of course she is going to stick it to the higher ups in every way she can dress code violation included.
You misunderstood completely. That she has a slit top or is showing some cleavage is not the problem. But it’s overdone to the point of being comical. If a real woman with that much breast tissue tried to wear that top, she’d be spilling out into the open air almost every time she exhaled, let alone when riding a motorcycle. This goes beyond fantasy fiction and enters the realm of parody. It’s like something from Ice Pirates or Spaceballs. That’s a Mel Brooks scifi slit top, the kind that is accompanied by dick & fart jokes and funny accents. If… Read more »
Watch some manga.. that will answer your question!
In that sense you are correct about it being a parody.. (although nothing wrong with that, if you like that style.. as for the physics involved, I’m guessing there is not much that isn’t man-made about her and the bike! 😉 )
The first female 9th Wolvers look awesome! I need to get them now!
At long last a Wulver unit and the all coveted Wulver girls. Cant wait!
Those senkenbutai are sweet.
The first ones had me doubt between Yu-jing and Aleph before I starter Aleph.
Now I was thinkink nomads as my second choice, but this made me reconsider. I love a bike force supported by ninja’s. Japanes sectorial might be the next choice.
As soon as I paint up my aleph…………
At long last, new wulvers! The hellcats and barid look amazing. Infinity has some of the best miniatures around!
Another month of solid amazing models, Chaskas continue to amaze, but the Barid is one solid masterpiece!
Whilst the cleavage is impressive My eye keeps straying to the unfeasably small front wheel on the bike and wondering if its stupid. They have obviously put a lot of thought into the bike so this may be a version that is close to predictions of where bikes will go but……it looks a bit duff. Also, may be optimal for speed on perfect surface but if you are going into combat on your bike you may want to go up the curb, steps, corner. I get the feeling they would be going over the handle bars regularly of bouncing off… Read more »
For a sports bike, almost certainly (anyone who rides or has ridden a moped knows that while it is fine for low speed, there is a reason that bigger bikes do not have such a small wheel! Maybe they have to make a rule that if the Aragato hits a man-hole cover while taking a corner, and it rained in the past day, they take an automatic wound! ) There was a wonderful bit of thought that went into the Aleph biker that was released last month.. the swing arm coming directly off the engine casing, using the engine as… Read more »
Yeah, the recent Penthesilea on her bike is my favourite sci fi model for quite some time.
Asuka is totally ‘must have’!
Those bikes look nice!
