Epic Infinity Releases For April
April 25, 2016 by dignity
It's time for an amazing haul of Infinity goodies for this month by Corvus Belli. If you like heavy firepower this is the month for you...
Kazak Spetznaz With HMG
The forces of Ariadna are bringing the big guns out to play for the Kazak Sectorial Army. They now have access to one of the most devastating weapons for this particular troop profile.
Here we have a cool, calm and collected looking Kazark ready to unload on the enemy.
Imperial Service Starter Pack
There is now a new Starter Pack for the Yu Jing and their Imperial Service. Inside you get three Celestial Guards with Combi Rifle, an Imperial Agent Zhangyin with Missile Launcher, Imperial Agent Pheasant Rank with Boarding Shotgun and a final Imperial Agent Crane Rank with Spitfire.
That is a damn fine looking new pack for Yu Jing. If you weren't taken by them as a faction before you will be now.
Maghariba Guard
The folks at Haqqislam have unleashed the beast. This is the biggest miniature that Corvus Belli have ever created and it's looking fantastic.
This is a huge Tactical Armoured Gear with a Multi HMG, 360 Visor, and Heavy Flamethrower. The Haqqislam boast that "Nothing can stop a Maghariba Guard", Do you agree?
Reverand Healers With Boarding Shotgun
The Nomads aren't to be outdone with their amount of firepower they can bring to bear. The Bakunin Jurisdictional Command now fight alongside the Reverand Healer which was an exclusive miniature in the Operation Icestorm box.
She is a specialist and has a good set of skills making her a great addition to a Moira or Custodier Fireteam.
Yaogat Strike Infantry With MULTI Sniper Rifle
The Combined Army and the Morat Aggression Force in particular also want to bring in the big guns. These deadly warriors are now able to strike from afar with the Sniper Rifle and a Multiespectral Visor Level 2 which gives them the edge.
These troops can deliver a devastating reaction shot (ARO).
What is your favourite model (or set of models) from this haul?
Somewhat typically I recently converted a Spetznas with hmg. That just looks awesome though. Reverand Healer goes on the “buy” list as well.
The new ISS starter is very cool, but i drear to think how much the Maghariba Guard is going to clock in at. Damn things going to require sooo much pinning as well. Even with CB’s excellent track record recently with keyed joints I wouldn’t want to leave it to just glue to hold it together….
Can I expect you and @sheldon9 to be putting up some new things then 😀
ISS 🙂 ISS 🙂 ISS 🙂 I’ll have seven flippin’ Celestial Guards with that box set.
Well I have to keep some cash aside for MCM London at the end of May, but I’ve a trip to Cardiff in June and I always make a point of hitting up Firestorm Games so will no doubt be leaving with at least one Infinity-related product….
I’ve seen pre-orders up for £44. Sounds fair to me.
Looks awesome, no interest in starting Haqq, but it would make such a cool project!
maggy, maggy, maggy
as you can probably guess am so stoked about the new mag guard sculpt
That Reverend Healer, though…
I mean, one in my collection is enough. Considering I only run her to complete Moira link teams, and even then, I use the Custodier shotgun model instead of the Ice Storm mini. But what a nice model. Such a cool pose.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a Kazak sectoral yet. But I certainly want that Spetsnaz HMG. Spetsnaz are absoute bonkers good.
DAMNIT CB! Why you keep claiming all my monies!!!
Gonna have to go put an order out for ALL OF IT…
DAT AXE. =D
Hot Piss! I knew there was a reason I liked Haqqislam
All pretty nice! If i heard correctly, the Maghriba should be mostly resin, right?
Unlikely, it would be a first if it was.
Totally metal, dude!
Well, that’s a bit unfortunate, no? Making such a big model all metal surely makes less sense than resin, esp. since resin can hold more detail?
Not all resins are made equal, Finecast was a resin, Restic is a resin. Being made of resin doesn’t automatically guarantee high detail or bubble free casts. Metal an hold just as much detail as good resin and the absence of bubbles is a big plus.
Resin’s main advantage is the reduced weight of the piece but even then the better resins are quite high density and weigh almost as much as metal for large pieces.
Resin isn’t a guarantee of quality, but resic and finecast were both very specific mixes of resin that tried to be not resin in essence. Metal may hold as much detail, but it’s harder to work with, especially on such large models, and chance for deformation in large metal pieces makes it no better than bubbles in resin, in my experience.
From purely practical POV, resin would be a better choice- lighter, easier to construct, and probably cheaper than what’s a good quarter kilo of pewter.
oh well gotta get them all 🙂
Son of a bitch, the week I cough up my life savings for a stupid trip to the dentists they dump all this 🙁
Morat can wait for now, but I want the rest asap.
I don’t play Infinity, but that Haqqislam TAG looks amazing!
I must find more time to play games.
that maghariba…. simply AWESOME!
I play nomads but men….. that piece is PURE scifi love!^^
